The music game is filled with players, rappers, and singers boasting about their romantic exploits and picking up members of the opposite sex in the club. Refreshingly, soul songstress Marsha Ambrosius doesn’t take this route on When U Want, a new collaboration with Sterling Simms. Marsha explains that she used to never think about settling down, but, with her new man, she’ll be there When U Want. Making the track a true family affair, in-house producer Oak, a member of the production and songwriting team KnightWritaz, backs both artists with a drum-driven mid-tempo beat. With this latest offering, fans are sure to be clamoring for Marsha’s Aftermath debut, but they’ll have to wait until Marsha gives Dre and Co. the green light.
That was CLASSIC! (BTW, word to Carly: Marsha and Sterling are members of the Knightwritaz along with Oak-all they need is to put Mario on the remix, and they'd have the whole team involved!)
Even though I have never heard anything by these two in the past, I like this song, almost to give it a four...but like somebody above me said "It will grow on me".
Charm Parker thats a mean thing 2 say :[ i been waitin a LOOOOOONG time 4 her and if this song is idication i think it we be a great album, this song was great, good all around production
I expected better. I like the music, sure Marsha and Sterling are talented but the song is boring...I don't like these duets in which the voices are one over the other, there's only a big confusion! It's ok
I like this song! Sims has been putting together some quality work. I'm waiting on the booth to bring on some more of his tracks. Marsha's voice is beautiful. This song is a nice duet between the 2 of them.
Why are they trying to sound like usher? She is one of the real singers left and she picks a sound that doesn't show it. It's ok, no worse or better than whats playing.
Kinfolk I agree, what Marsha gonna start dancing? If she was gonna keep current she needs like a No Air Jordan Sparks, maybe that what they where going for with this record with having Sterling on the record, but f&$k spend the extra $80 grand and pay Chris Brown and get the same producer because this aint cutting it. extra medium
i have mixed emotions about dis song....as soon as sterling started singin, i was like "wow y is he soundin like usher?" dis surprised me cuz i ant neva heard any "usher" in his voice based on hi previous songs. but dis was average.....too much like wat i hear on da radio now. i was expectin sumthin more soulful from marsha like in her floetry days....
Marsha always sound good. Simms is on point as well. This is a real good song. Dont really here to many female/male duets these days. When you do there usually straight. this is no exception
