Remember the good old days, when you could place a call from practically any street corner, without lugging around bulky smartphones? I mean, provided you were carrying the correct change. Oh, and the person you were trying to reach had better pick up, or you just wasted your money. OK, I guess those days weren’t that great—but one thing the humble Payphone will always have over mobile handsets is the drama factor. As proof, I present the latest single from Maroon 5, which finds frontman Adam Levine standing in the booth in rapt suspense, waiting to find out if his last fifty cents will connect him with the girl her loves. Backed by Shellback and Benny Blanco‘s airy pop production, the singer expresses his longing to patch things up with the woman in question, despite the burnt bridges between them. Wiz Khalifa guests on the middle, chucking the deuce to a woman who doesn’t appreciate all he’s done for her. In addition to keeping it locked for more fresh tunes leading up to the June 26, release of Maroon 5’s fourth full-length, Overexposed, fans can tune into tonight’s episode of The Voice to hear Levine (a judge on the talent program) perform this record live.

I've always been a Maroon 5 fan and this track right here is a nice addition to the new album. I like how the beat changes a bit for the Wiz verse. Wiz was a cool addition but not sure if it's needed for this track. Good work overall.

I feel like every song Maroon 5 puts out is an automatic radio hit. They really know how to make a catchy tune.I wasn't really sure how Wiz was going to fit in, but it worked out pretty well. Also, I think this is the first verse I have heard from him where he doesn't reference weed.

There is an art to a pop record and part of that technique is getting a fitting feature to increase the appeal of the song. Wiz gives the track that perfect amount of urban appeal without sacrificing the song's integrity. Wiz is no Waka Flocka. His audience is probably not much different from Maroon 5's lol. This is a good record and will def blow up all summer long.

I really like the beat and wiz's flow works surprisingly well on this song. His verse definitely adds to the song.

Wasn't sure how this would fit but as soon as I heard the beat/flow I knew Wiz would make this work. He has his fair share of smooth/slow flows. This will absolutely be a hugeeee hit on the radio.
