To ask, or not to ask? Asking at the wrong moment can wreck the mood completely, but if you don’t ask, how will you know for sure? On his latest mixtape leak, DMV repper Marky takes a tongue-in-cheek look at that eternal question with the power to make or break an evening: “Is It Cool to F**k?” AB the Pro mans the boards, delivering a smooth mix of synths and handclap-driven percussion as the freestyle series alum ponders whether to go the direct route or skirt around the issue. On the back, guest star (and fellow freestyle series contributor) XV settles on a stealthier approach: “Your keys got lost in the couch, now you come over to my house for the night / Now we’re cutting out all the lights, like I ain’t paid the bill in months…” If you’re digging this witty meditation on bedside manners, keep it locked – while the artist has yet to set a solid release date for his arrival in @Markyland, we’ll make sure that you’re the first to know once an itinerary’s been established.

Ever since "The Antidote" a couple years back, I have always kept a look out for Marky in the booth. I love the energy and flow he brings to every track, and his voice just blends in with a diverse sound. This record is not only highly enjoyable, but entertaining as well. Having met XV and listening to him for years, I know he is on his grind and cannot be more excited about the amount of material we will be hearing from him this year.

I liked Marky ever since I heard Delusional, not as lyrical as I know he is capable of but on a song like this you can't really expect that.
My disappointment stems from the fact that the title made it sound like he was gonna come from a funnier/more clever angle than he did. If this song was full of punchlines instead of a step by step of how he's gonna make love it would have been better. For an example listen to the song Cum Over by Big Sean. Same subject matter, much more clever approach with the lines. |

Really liked the originality on this, especially from the production angle. I have to agree with ReturnofSanta, it would have been good to hear Marky take a lighter approach, like XV did, but either way I'd rather hear this on my radio than "No Hands" any day.

This is actually a catchy track wit decent production. The whole concept is sort of funny and Marky & XV do their thing on the track.

The bars were the highlight here, wish the production was as creative as they were.
