Back in the US for the first time in 10 years, Return of the Mack hitmaker Mark Morrison has reemerged with a brand new single. Released previously in his native UK, Innocent Man is co-produced by Morrison and Shaun Bailey and features a spiritually-centered guest verse from DMX. For those who experience déjà vu upon first listen, let us calm your nerves; a different version of Innocent Man was featured at the Booth late last year, when Swizz Beatz sampled the song for Philly native Cassidy’s last album. Though no release date has been set, Morrison’s new US release, also titled Innocent Man, it will be distributed by Global Music Group/Universal; his digital single was made available for purchase as a six-song bundle on Tuesday.

Yep Cassidy's version is better but this is solid too. This version is more smoothed out. Now for Mark Morrison, I haven't heard from him in forever. Dang! What he been up to? DMX verse was the truth. He still got it.

I'm sorry to comment on his picture...but I'm sorry. Mark Morrison looks like a homosexual version of David Banner.
On to the song though....vocals are on point. DMX came real sincere on this. The production is off the chains and I really dig this. Very solid joint. I want to hear more joints like this coming out! Bless! |

I heard about that also Dj Baer Dj Baer. There's a warrant for him because he failed to show up in court in Phoenix, Arizona to face charges of drug possession, animal cruelty, and identity theft. I know...he messed up.

This song is real smooth, I don't see a strong comeback for Mark Morrison but still a good record to put out for his longtime fans. Love the chorus and the way its constructed.
Time to vent a little bit, but I've given up on DMX. I never criticize humans for their mistakes but come on, he has had way too many chances in the past 5 years. It is time to get this man some serious help instead of letting him off time after time. The man's got issues, I can't even listen to his music right now without getting annoyed. Haha sorry, anyways like I said good track and worthy of 3 *. |

Return of the MACK! OH shit! Welcome back Mark. This song sounds good right here. Smooth track! Right up my alley. DMX sounds focused, I hope he's gettin himself together. This is the Dark Man I grew up on. Booth has brought me some good music tonight. Thank you! I need it!

I am feelin this $hit right here. DMX is one of my favorites of all time but he is letting me down too cb! He has been letting me down for some years now, but this verse right here is really mellow and it just sounds true to the heart! DMX is being extradited as we speak for yet another legal issue. Its just crazy. So many chances! I knew Mark's voice sounded familiar!!! Return of the Mack was on all the damn time! But I love the song and Cassidy's version is SICK! Cassidy's album is the most underrated in my opinion, but Mark Morrison still got it, and he has a unique sound to boot! BANGER easily!

dang this some peptobismol..pink no but thick and smooth. this one should get those pancakes flippin. (washes away the pepto taste with the signature tea)..X was aight like blaze and cb said. i mean without his barking his bites aint doin much lately but he's not horrible on this.

LOL@MH. I thought immediatly of Cassidy's song when I saw the song, a song I like. I think Cass served the song better, but the beat is better on here. DMX? Yo, he is FAR from innocent. He needs to slow down, because he's got a lot of fans he's disapointing (see above), a lot of hatred he's recieving, and he's the last person Santa will think of visiting this year. I believe he can change up, he just needs to stop being so stubborn about it. My third 4.5-5 for the day, damn.

The chorus is smooth and nice... but I'm not really feeling DMX verse, he sounds like Ja Rule and I just can't stand Ja he can't rap... but anyways Imma give this a 3 for the chorus and 1 for DMX.

although DMX stay on cocaine an weed it was fire! regret what i say about this man, he still da boss, always came hard with the flow and those were some real words. In addition, Barack Obama is speaking of a policy that offers x-cons jobs after incarceration. So hopefully, the world can change, cuz if the government forces x-cons to have a less chance of a job, they have no choice but to go back to the illegal activities they were doing in the first place.

I am bias because this is one of our artist @ Global Music. This Dj Rodski and I've been locked up for 7 years. Feelings this song in my soul. I cant see why people like the Cassidy version more than this one. Dmx fits perfect in this production, cassidy is just doin his own thing in the song rather that makin it solid combined. The vocals have been changed a little, a great job, and dmx just completes it.
