Marion Write - World Turned No Love

Last we heard from Marion Write, the Vegas representative was paying tribute to his city on mixtape cut Field of the Dollar, a freeform, jazz-sampled joint which many hailed as a creative breakthrough. Six months or so later, is the freestyle series alum still in his artistic groove? Judging by this newly-leaked cut, the answer is “Most definitely.” On World Turned No Love, Write and beatsmith Two3 pick up right where they left off, channeling the aforementioned record’s lush style into a brand new banger as poetically vivid as it is insightful. Backed by his production partner’s understated, piano-led boardwork, the artist invites us to envision a brighter tomorrow, and make it into a reality “Imagine pockets of hope, instead of pockets of dope / Imagine everybody whose denim pockets ain’t broke / Imagine if the President really gave you some change, would you really make it useful or would you let it waste?” Digging this reflective joint? The project that World Turned will be attached to has yet to receive a title or release date, but fans can keep it locked for the latest details!

 Marion is so consistent. If this is your first time listening to his material, may I suggest you go back to his DJBooth artist page and take a listen to his backlog of features. Like "bigmhc" said in his feedback, the soul is undeniably enjoyable.

Not only does Marion spit some hopeful thought-provoking rhymes, but he does it with an earnest intensity that you can feel. The piano loop is a nice backdrop for his heart-felt flow.

Goddamn. Just goddamn. I'm happy to say I'm been a Marion supporter for a minute, but the dude's getting better by the minute. Music at it's best entertains and has a message - this is music at it's best. Dopeness.

The production is really cool on this track. I'm loving the the overall song. Real tight message on the beat. Definitly a change from the hoes, money, rides and sex bullsh*t.

Wow this is really great from Marion. And thats not a suprised "wow". He always makes great songs. I really love this. The production from Two3 is great. A banger for sure.
