It may sound like a stereotype, but the truth is that as a Los Angeles resident I’m surrounded by people who came west to pursue their dreams, but instead found the road to fame paved with broken glass; and I’m not alone. Las Vegas representer Marion Write dedicates his new track Dreams to everyone who has found themselves derailed while pursuing the glamorous life. Backed by ethereal, hypnotizing production from beatsmith SB, as well as high quality vocals from newcomer Eden Alexis on the hook and HerStory creator Dominique Larue, Dreams is first and foremost Write’s show as gets on his storytelling tip with verses that may not be pretty, but are brutally honest look at the consequences of getting lost in the game: “The man’s left in his Jetta / with a hollow in his skull and brain chunks on his sweater / I’m just sayin, life over money is way better.” Amen.  All of the elements of this song really worked well together. Production was great, Marion flowed perfectly on it and was able to tell a story in the process. Hook was really nice too. This kind of stuff is so much better than all of the mainstream stuff. Cannot get enough of this kind of music.

This song is so dope! I think Marion has a lot to offer and this song is great to start off with. Singer on the hook and one helluva feature from Ms Larue, anxious to hear what Write History's gonna sound like!

Definitely one of those cuts you have to listen to a few times to truly appreciate. I'm on my sixth or seventh listen and I'm just now putting together some of the storylines. Quality hip-hop. No doubt. Props to everyone involved.

I'm definitely gonna be looking forward to hearing more from this project as well as his work with DJ Finyl. |

Yo, this is an example of those songs that you don't want to listen you, but you must, like City High's "What Would You Do". The piano production was perfect, and the girl's soft but meaningful chorus was amazing. Loved this song.
