Anyone who knows me well can tell you that I’m a terrible liar, and that whenever I try to deceive someone, it ends up being much more comical than underhanded. So with that said, we have Mario’s latest single, Ohh Baby, which will go down in history as being his magnum opus, even better than Break Up and Let Me Love You combined. Alright, I admit that lie wasn’t hard to spot, but it is a solid effort. With tons of radio appeal that even Mario acknowledges at the song’s outset, Ohh Baby has the crooner flirting with his girl over a cheerful, slowly pulsing, Jackpot Music-provided beat. Lyrically and even production-wise, Mario isn’t exploring any new territory here, but he’s gotten this far obviously knowing how to keep his fans satisfied. But those fans are the only ones who will be satisfied, because if you’re not feeling Mario by now, this song likely won’t convert you. If you are, though, Baby can be found on Mario’s latest LP D.N.A., which is available now.

This was one of the few songs I was feeling on D.N.A. Definitely an above average effort from an above average artist. BANGER!

This guy has always been either hot or cold for me, hes had great songs like emergency room ft rihana and thinking about you . hes also had bad song that I didn't like for example “break up”(which allot liked so it wasnt that bad a song apparently)
This song Is a definate good. “its been sooo longggg,since someone put it on yah like im bout to” ok lyrics but you definitly know what hes talking about. I wanna see a colab for this song which would take it too bigger heights who knows maybe a guest ft by nikki manaj is in order after the line “freaky things that im thinking” she comes in. the beat is nice but not a drop dead hit you while your standing out of this world instrumental but it goes nice with the song and is enjoyable. I guess in the end its too much what we expect from this guy so its nothing new which holds it back from being a banger but good production and the way its carried are on point so it definitely deserves 3.5 pins. |

T-t-today junior! When I first heard the album I expected this to be released as a single pretty quickly. One of the best songs on the album. Finally it gets the respect it deserves.

Didnt D.N.A. drop 6 months ago? this is a very late 3rd single, though i think it is the correct choice. Production is nice from Jackpot Music & Mario's vocals sound as good as ever. I dont think this will be a number 1 record, though it should get a fair amount of spins on urban radio.
I dont get why the remix to 'Get Out' that featured Ludacris never got the single treatment. I thought that track could of taken off as a single, espcially after the success of 'Break Up' |

Not a huge Mario fan but i would be lieing if I said this didn't have huge radio potenial based on that beat alone. Mario sounds good too and that hook is infectious, he may just have hit the jackpot with this one!

I doubt this will get a push since DNA dropped ages ago, but this track was one of the best on the album! I still think they should have 'Soundtrack To A Broken Heart', that track had potential to cross over and give Mario another smash

This definately has potential. Its soft enough to be mainstream but has enough energy to hold its own.
I love it when everything picks up and hes like my name..my name...ya i like this. Im surprised that I liked this I usually dont listen to softer songs like this. |

First of im a huge fan of this dude. he has consistently been in the charts for a while now and he doesnt seem to be letting go although i fell he doesnt get the recognition he deserves. this definately not the best song on his album before she said hi and break up are up there for me. but this does have its positives. the generic beat keeps you interested and the hook is solid. the only negative is i think i've this before cause he sort of always makes this type of track or is it me. in any case ill give it a 3.5 cause its a good listen

I'm immediately pulled in by the beat. Its simple concept is memorable, and kinda reminiscent of The Dreams production, and writing. I say that b/c of the "Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Baby's"... And I agree with Mario in the intro, "this ones for the radio". I could also hear it in the club.

Love when the bubblegum boys grow to henny sippin men and Mario plays the grown people music man well. I can't deny that I hear a lil Usher in this track, especially toward the end but all together, sexy r&b and easy radio banger...silky

This is a great song. The vocals are very attractive to listeners, and this might be the best track I've heard in a Mario song in a while. As soon as the bass kicks in underneath the melody you can just tell this is a slow jam. I am most definitely throwing this into my next set!

As Mario says, this one is definitely for the radio. A nice slow jam that is executed really well by Mario, which is exactly how I thought it would be. Another "panty dropper" today but this one does a good job of blending an R&B track and a club hit.
Production is really well done on this track. It pushes the Mario driven lyrics to a high level and makes the song come together. At the same rate, its another simple Mario song. Its what we have come to expect and can seem old at times. I would love to hear him do something different or even more fast paced. Still a decent track though. |

An enjoyable mid-tempo jam, even though its being more formulaic than everything else. Hook is catchy in a certain level. But a hit in a making? I doubt it; even if this was released earlier. But we’ll see how this track will do.

One thing Mario brings to music that Trey Songz fails to is Sensuality. His songs entice women to come to bed. Less creative than Ne-Yo's exploding volcano of love Ohh Baby is still hella smooth. Songs like I invented Sex, Neighbors know my name, and Does he do it are all songs that feed into the male ego. Finally a song to break through that of bedding a woman through her desires and not the Male ego's.
I agree this should have been released much earlier. The entire CD should have gotten pushed harder and there is little else he is doing collaboratively (aside from his Think of You remix with Kelly Rowland) anywhere else to give momentum to D.N.A. However, the Album is a must have in any collection and Ohh Baby is a small display of that. |

@DJ GooBoo, I'm surprised you were the only other one to mention the bass in your review...it's excellent and pulses along nicely, as Matt mentioned in the headliner review. Definitely one of my favorite features of the track.
@B3rtoB3rto, thanks for mentioning other songs from the album. I was going to ask which other songs on the album were worth picking up, but you anticipated the question. If you hadn't already guessed from the other reviews, this is a great track. Not terribly innovative, but it does the job admirably. Give it a try. |
