Now this is the part where I would normally say, “Gee whiz! Mariah Carey on a record with Meek and Ross? How unexpected!” Then I suddenly flashed back to Fantasy, the singer’s 1995 collab with ODB, and realized that no MC collaboration would ever top that when it comes to shock factor. For such a major release - the singer’s last non-holiday song was released back in 2009 - the addition of MMG heavyweights Rick Ross and Meek Mill on Triumphant (Get ‘Em) is pretty darn ideal. Carey takes on the songs hook with her usual powerhouse vocals as she encourages listeners to “reach for the stars” and “be all that you are.” Keeping with the epicness of Triumphant (Get ‘Em) is production from both Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, whose bass-heavy, piano-laced production adds to the spirited vibe of the song. Triumphant (Get ‘Em) will be featured on Mariah Carey’s forthcoming album, but as of now a title and release date have yet to be revealed.

This song first appeared on the R&B / Pop Chart on August 6, 2012

Mariah sounds like she is the feature artist and not the lead star. Sorry, but I cannot get into this without feeling like she is singing on a "Self Made Vol. 2" outtake.

I feel like this is a much stronger lead single than Obsessed was, but I agree that 2 rappers was a bit overwhelming considering Mariah only had about 1/3 of HER single. But then again, the songs length is appropriate because if it were any longer it would be untolerable, so I applaud them for keeping it short and sweet. I think this will be a moderate hit, but maybe Mariah should take the lead next time. Rick Ross was good enough, don't drag the whole MMG team into it.

To be honest, this is not single worthy. I was expecting something totally fresh from Mariah but she let me down. She is letting that stellar voice of hers just go to waste on that so called music she puts out now and days. What happened to the old Mariah that SANG!

This is a collaboration that I never saw coming. Even the production team mixed with all of them seems off, but it's a decent mesh of style. Could have been a bit more polished perhaps?!?

Wow this is quite underwhelming. The beat is weak and the same old style....the chorus was also quite mediocre. JD completely jacked Lex Luger with his sound effects! This could have easily been on the Self Made compilation with Mariah as a featured artist lol. Not a bad track, but just not a strong single.

I agree with most comments about mariah not being present enough on the track. When I first heard this I thought it was a release from God Forgives I Don't that used an old mariah carey sample. Most of the songs I heard off her last album sounded a bit lacking, but it's nice to hear that mariah is returning to her roots. Regardless of whose song it is, this song is fire.

Mill's intro was great but Mariah's first vocal seemed not to match to me. Rozay's feature seemed to brighten up the beat and meshed well. I think Mills should have been left out perhaps. Overall, but personally I don't think I'll listen to this again.
