Thanks to the writing and production work of Terius “The-Dream” Nash and C. Tricky Stewart, singer Rihanna won a Grammy award this past weekend for her smash hit Umbrella. Clearly, our good friends at Def Jam took notice of the success Rihanna has seen over the past year and kept the creative duo on speed dial for their next major project. Hence, the reason why Mariah Carey will successfully kick off her 11th studio album with any radio programmer’s dream, Touch My Body. If in fact her new single reaches #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Carey will pass The Beatles all-time high of 20 top ranked singles. The highly-anticipated follow-up to Emancipation of Mimi, E=MC², will be in stores on April 15th.
I had to for myself to listen past the first few lines of the song, didnt like they way she bounced her verses with the beat, the song was on point though, but it may sound better remixed, Oh and I would touch Maria's Body YES SSIIIRRRR!!!!
I liker her Album Title..Beat is real smooth and Likable...lyrics are more on the forgettable side. Beat is what Kept my attention span for more than 1:30
I was surprised at how good Mariah's last album was. Almost every track was hot. This song is nice and smooth and definitely ready to continue her top-hit Trend. Very good track here and I know it will be on the radio all day soon. Can't wait for the new CD to see if it can live up to the last one.
She will have an easy road on her way to a follow up because every producer wants to work with her. As far as this, I think it will grow on me, but for now its pretty good. I can see a remix to this coming real soon, Sean Kingston or Nelly would fit this beat perfectly, am i right???
Absolutely Blaze, Mimi was a surprisingly good album which didn't miss a beat. This here is a very nice track which is probably gonna get pretty big. It will almost undoubtedly get a hot remix as well cause it still feels like it was missing something. To be honest I was expecting a coupla the signature mariah highnotes.
mariah and janet jackson are all back!!!! i love this song it would have a spot on my space page.the tune is enjoyable and her voice is liek an angels.good job mariah carey.
the more i listen to it the more i like it. her last album was hot. this is a simple song, simple beat, not as good as We Belong Together, but u know all the gurls be singin the hook
I dont know why but I was expecting less( its just what happens after an artist releases a followup to a banging album sometimes) with that being said this is a real nice track...beat is on point and mariah is mariah...I was really suprised at not hearing her signature high note
where she been at...despite the fact that she startin to sound the same in every song..she still got it...i bet you she gonna hit the high notes at the end....
mmoore: If she doesn't do it with this one, I am sure there is one more hit on this album that can. My prediction: She will break the record and then some.
Touch my body.....I agree wit those who question the style of lyrics. Its weird like sometime she uses lyrical style well, But this one I felt more like her tempo was off. Buh it's cool. C'mon it's Mariah Carey she been holdin me down since b4 i could walk. most respect.
Good joint, nice mid-tempo flow for Mariah. It's a safe song to initially come out with. It will get some plays on the radio andclubs. The second single she releases should be the big hit just like her last album with "We Belong Together"
Just imagine the video to the song. If ya'll thought we belong together was hot this one will be better. To repeat what has already been said, the vocals aren't the best but they roll with the beat, which is fire.
the dream and tricky stewart keep bringin the hits! this song is good but the lyrics and singing could be a bit better. The album will most likely have way better tracks anyway!
Hater everywhere!!! LOL I'm just kiddin' pple =P
She is AMAZZZZIIINGG!! Have y'all ever seen her in concert? Damn, she sounds 1000 times better LIVE than her recorded studio tracks!! And how you see her on tv/in the mags, etc....is EXACTLY how she looks in person - if not better. Love her. The BEST female voice in the business. Everything MC sings is a "classic".
I am so upset that the world doesn't see the beauty of "The Dream" his CD was very good, and he is one of the best producers today! Great song and I don't care how old MiMi is she is still one of the sexiest black women to walk the earth, and I would love to touch her body .
No she is not one of the sexiest she is one of the slutest black women. Nigga almost everyone has touched her body, cause she aint got no class to ha and she is what in her 30 now.
But she can still sing. I aint gonna knock her voice
I heard this yesterday, and omg i fell in love with this song. For Mariah Careys Come back, it's actually pretty good. I didn't expect this from her, i liked it.
You know for being the comeback as many have said, they expected less. With Mariah, it's interesting because whether or not she samples tracks from oh let's say the tom tom club, or Brenda Star, she still puts it out there and lets it known that she is definately a show stopper. I think people need to take less consideration of her personal life, because you know some ya'all have done some scandelous @*#$! out there. And focus on the artist. So personally, I think the song is very well produced and sung.
With Mariah you're damned if you do and damned if you don't meaning, that people complain if she hits the high notes, and complain if she doesn't. There is no making everyone happy especially in the music industry. Believe me, I know. But what ya'all should be realizing that her success in this business is Monumental. And I think this has potential to definately be a top single. Yes maybe Number one. But who cares, on the album she's going to have 15 more songs to make that attempt.
was in luv wit this song wen it dropped bt its a lil monotonous and aint feelin it as much and it hasn't even been a month yet-def a forgettable track! but its truly sweet...
As usual I'm late - hey, I live in the South and sometimes we're a few months behind on the radioplay - but I just heard this song the other day, and I'm feelin' it. I loved the 'Mimi' album because it proved that while she has the classics under her belt no doubt, MC can still do her thang with current ish. This song backs that up. TheDream is on fire right now, and this song has a catchy beat, cute hook, and lyrics that make you (as a female) feel playful and sexy. I dig this joint - but I'ma have to hear a few more hot ones before I commit to buying 'E=MC^2' ('cuz everybody has the potential for hits and misses)!
this song reminds me of my boy friend jader and me last night hanging out at his place and having a party. jader likes mariah carry and so do i. so please pump this song.
