Just about a month ago, DJBooth premiered Mariah Carey’s new single, Touch My Body, the first off her forthcoming album E=MC². Since then, the Brett Ratner-directed music video was launched at television and online, and the record has crept up the radio charts to a slot inside the Top 15. In fact, other than Usher’s Love In This Club, Carey’s Touch My Body has had a higher increase in spins than any other record in the country over the same period of time. Looking to push the smash hit over the top, singer/songwriter Terius “The-Dream” Nash (who wrote Touch My Body) has added a vocal arrangement to the back end of the single, and producer C. “Tricky” Stewart has added some random background sound effects. Now, if only a certain video would pop up on YouTube…
Mariah, you on fire! Even hotter than the original. I only wish the-dream had more verses on this track with Mariah. When they both go at it with their falsettos, it just sounds hot hot hot. I'm loving how all these 'older' artists are bringing it in 2008; keeping it fresh and mixing it up with new hot talent.
The original version of this song was SICK. I had no idea that he wrote the song. The Dream is very talented indeed and he deserves recognition. Dream comes on this track and KILLS IT! He makes the remix better than the original. Classic $hit here! Don't Hate!
After the massive success Mariah received from "The "Emancipation Of Mimi," it took me awhile for this record to grow on me. Usher watch out! This song is dashing right to #1 on the charts. The-Dream is writing hit after hit and this is no exception. I would have liked to hear more of him on the remix. What's with the music video for this record though?
I agree with everyone who said that this song has grown on them since they first heard it. It gets catchier and catchier every time its spun. The-Dream is a true talent, the man has work on Sting's next album! Yup, he is f%&kin' with the Police!
Well I love the Dream so he made the song so much better cus i really didnt like the original so im glad he joined wit Mariah and made this song a good one...
