Mariah Carey’s platinum-certified album, E=MC², has been out in stores since April 8. Over the last eighteen weeks or so, Carey has officially released three singles: Touch My Body, Bye Bye, and I’ll Be Lovin’ You Long Time. Unbelievably, over that same period of time, each single has been remixed at least twice. Having previously featured six of Carey’s rap-infused remixes, DJBooth is proud to present a seventh, which features the diva’s labelmates LL Cool J and Ghostface Killah. As expected, this new version of Long Time includes the original production work from in-demand beatsmith, DJ Toomp, as well as all of Carey’s original vocals. There is no official word from the label on which song will be chosen as the album’s fourth (and possibly final) single.
Not as good as the original, although the only part of the original I cared too much about was TI's verse. LL has a strong verse on here, and the beat is pretty hot. Mariah always has remixes to her songs, which is good because it keeps her stuff fresh and puts her in the radar continuously. Good track, its a 3.
This is actually better than the original. The reworked beat sounds pretty ill and LL smashed his verse. Ghostface is still a lyricist man. He definitely smashed the second verse. This bangs.
I didn't like the original but this is way better...LL Cool J and Ghostface have done a good work and the new beat is better than the old one. Anyway I can't rate this song more than 3 stars, it's decent but not excellent!
Sorta ruined it. MC was actually what made this song for me in the "original". LL Cool J & Ghostface maybe did better than T.I., but I like how MC's voice harmonized with the beat, as did T.I.'s. This is kinda like the club remix.
