During an interview with DJ ‘Z,’ Brooklyn born rapper AZ listed his TOP 5 Brooklyn-born MC’s of all time: Bigge, Jay-Z, KRS-One, Fabolous and… himself. Although Maino didn’t make the list, it doesn’t mean he isn’t slowly rising to the top of the hip-hop food chain. Along with often used collaborator and now free on bailLil’ Kim and the help of unsigned/lyrically-gifted sensation Papoose, the new single Brooklyn For Life delivers a knockout punch. The bickering among New York artists to claim their same-city competition isn’t as good has gone on for over three decades.
