With troubled stars like Amy Winehouse and Lindsay Lohan indulging in cocaine, it seems like the fad is catching on. Macy Gray, best known for her husky voice and her hit, I Try, pays homage to her powder-loving pals with the new white label release, Cocaine Sex. Almost September’s Jared Lee channels vintage Timbaland with weirdly-placed, skittering synths, over which Macy requests to get high and have sex at the same time. As Macy titters her way through two verses and a chorus, California emcee Sticky Fingaz takes up the mic to echo her druggy desires. His low-voiced, muttered verses only add to the question: when will Macy, if ever, return to her neo-soul roots? Though her next project has no current release date, sniffing about for a clue might turn something up.
cocaine sex?!? ummm NO...nuth-n gud about DIS song...x-ept 4 STICKY FINGAZ- he wuz gud.... so hez da only reason im rate-n a 2...DA ONLY ONLY ONLY REASON!
the song with The Game was hot, this is absolutely not my thing. Too much going on the beat, don't like the concept of the lyrics, don't like the hook...
Am I the only one who likes the beat on this? It's crazy, I'm sure it will go in the clubs! Mmmmm maybe...I'm listening to the song and I'm changing my mind. The real prob of this track is the chorus, it's simply horrible! The rest ain't so bad, I'm loving the part in which the guy raps! To me it's ok (and it's a compliment as I HATE Macy's tone colour)
Ps: I have to re-write it: the chorus is unlistenable!
