After his Lil’ Wayne collaboration, Throw It Back, received a favorable response from our members (charting for the third straight week, currently at #4 on our Underground Chart), Mack Maine decided to toss us another brand new record.  Set for inclusion on his forthcoming This Is Just a Mixtape, dropping later this month, Man Cry features guest accompaniment from Bay Area veteran Mister F.A.B. and production from Tha Bizness (see R. Kelly’s Hair Braider).  The record, which tackles the highly-inaccurate stereotype that men are not supposed to cry or wear their emotions on their sleeves, is a welcome change from the hard-nosed tough guy image that is portrayed in most hip hop music.

Pretty different look for Maine. He has a lot of good energy on this song and I'm glad to see he can carry a track with out Wayne. His lyrics are pretty hardcore on everything he's put out though, a lot of detail sometimes for the better and sometimes not so much LOL. Everything is really good and all except I have a hunch that this was a Lil Wayne mixtape throwaway track or something. Still into rotation, that chorus got me.

I liked the last track that he did- the one with Lil Wayne- that one was hella good....but this, this is only ok. I only liked the rapping- the beat was kind of annoying. I probably won't ever listen to this again. I expected better from him.

Now if you didn't know by before now...THE TEMPTATIONS are like my favorite old-school soul group EVER! I love the sample definitely. I hated everything from Mack Maine previous to this song. He really came correct with this joint and I can respect him for that. It's sort of like the first time I heard "Nobody Loves The Hood" by Huey. It gave me a different respect for the artist. I liked the lyrics and the content. I like this joint. Rappers don't make enough of these type of these joints.

Wow, this one is on point. Production is sick and you can't hate on the message. Gotta respect Mack for being willing to put this out there.

Oh man, this goes hard! Full of energy from the very beginning, and the flow's precisely on point throughout the entire track. The hook sample is sickkkk. This song is fire fosho. Impressive.
