Despite a four-year gap between projects (his last solo effort, Hustla’s Handbook, was released in ‘05 via Capitol Records), former Westside Connection member (along with Ice Cube and WC) and gold-selling solo artist Mack 10 is now excitedly gearing up for the independent release of his ninth studio album, Soft White.  On newly-leaked cut Hood Famous, the Inglewood native laughs in the face of our current economic recession, letting his female fans know that, “I’ma take your ass out and f*ck off some more cash.”  On hook duty is D.C. crooner (and current Capitol Records artist) J. Holiday, who reminds all the ladies that they would be better off with someone “...who everyone knows,” and providing dreamy slow-jam boardwork is fellow Left Coaster and twelve-year production veteran, Fingazz.  While it’s hard to believe that Mack 10, who hasn’t put out a project in so long, could be so careless with his funds; there’s no question that, on September 29th, fans of the fifteen-year veteran will be waiting in line to pick up a copy of Soft White.

Not too shabby, decent chill joint for the ladies. I think Mack realized he wasn't getting much love/success with the most recent hard, mixtape tracks so he ditched all that and decided to drop an album single. The beat was pretty cool and M10 held his own. Holiday was a good pickup on the hook too.

Really liked the chillout vibe of the production and Holiday's vocals were really smooth as well. Verses are decent, typical routine I’m used to hearing from Mack10.

Production > J.Holiday > Mack10

Hmmmm? It's funny because before I logged on here I was listening to I Want It All, one of my favorite Mac-1-Oh joints. So the question is has he progressed as an artist? No, but that's ok. He still does what it was that gave him the fans that he has. Too bad most of them are locked up or dead.

What's Happening Djbooth! Mack 10's music always been hot. But this time I expected a dissapointment. J. Holiday is too soft for Mack 10. But he sounds great on the Fingazz beat. Nice song although Mack 10 lyrics could have been better.
