Since releasing his self-titled debut album in ‘95, legendary Inglewood rapper Mack 10 has had quite an eventful career. After dropping eight more sets (on three major labels), being part of a supergroup (with Ice Cube and WC), starting his own record label (Hoo-Bangin’ Records), and marrying (and after four years divorcing) TLC’s T-Boz, Mack is ready to go “back to the future” with his ninth album, tentatively titled Soft White. With a little help from his former and current Hoo-Bangin label-mates Red Café and Glasses Malone, the Mack brings back the classic Big Baller sound listeners have come to know and love. Look for more of the old product when Soft White hits the streets (currently set for release sometime after Glasses’ Beach Cruiser)
I was never really a Mack 10 fan in the first place; but he goes HARD on here. Even though the flow not lyrically complicated; its straight to the point and the beat matches the raw energy. The chorus is knockin too...This is a BANGER to me; surprisingly!
The clapping gets a little annoying on this track. Red cafe doing it big. Mack 10 ... wow ... I was wondering what happened to him. Glasses Malone does a decent job. Yes!!!!!!! The voice box. I knew I couldn't go the whole night without hearing it in one song.
Mack 10 will go down in history as one of the most slept on rappers ever. He has always repped the WC well, but he sounds much better when he is flanked by Cube and WC. This isn't bad, but it isn't his best.
Never heard of any of the dudes on the track?? I can understand not knowing of Glasses...even Red Cafe to a certain ext....but Mac 10.....he aint a SuperStar but he been around long enough to be heard of at some point in time in some form of media outlet....... no disrespect donjonjon but Im assuming your young, right? Anyway this is a good track the beat real funky....and each one of them hold their own...Glasses suprised me on this one
