The 147th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Machine Gun Kelly, the Cleveland native who brought us reader-approved cut Leave Me Alone in late January. On his brand new, exclusive Off Campus freestyle, the currently unsigned emcee flows over original boardwork by Killah Kalam. Machine Gun Kelly is currently busy promoting his mixtape debut, 100 Words & Running, and working on a follow-up entitled Kellyvision. Watch for the artist’s latest single, What It Seems, along with an official video, to debut in mid-March.

Readers can download a copy of the newly-released In the Booth (Volume 3), featuring exclusive freestyles 61 through 90, here! Volumes one and two are available for download here and here.

another asher roth?!!? maybe, mabye not funny how society has force me to compare young white rappers...but this dude is better than roth in my opinion and many black rappers as well...flow is great...so is word play...even the engineering surprised me, that organ sounds a lil sound muddy but ay whatever don't notice it like that...medium rotation because beat ain't all that but dude kills it...i want more of him...now!

MGK impressed me with his first ever submission to the Booth, which in today's flooded music climate, does not happen to often.

I love how if you know anything about Ohio hip hop (i.e. Bone Thugs) you probably could tell that the influences here are obvious. Unforced double/triple-time rhymes and excellent execution.

Yet another DOPE entry in our series!

i Love the production, vocals and down south feeling of the track where as the beat actually fits the flow of the rapper. Machine gun kelly sounds a lot like UGK, Bone thugs and Geto boys while stilling being original. He has actual talent, talks about situations he is familiar with instead of the mainstream music we hear on the radio.

Damn, it's not easy to live up to a name like Machine Gun Kelly, but the man delivers. These are some high-caliber spitfire rhymes. Dopeness.

Oh, and I love how Twitter's become a part of so many rappers careers (rightfully so). Only problem? It's impossible to sound cool while using the words Twitter/tweet/twit. "Go twit my @*#$!" is about as good and you're gonna be able to do.

Dude is ILL on this. I heard some of the tracks on his mixtape 100 Words And Running and he was straight. This is probably the best I've heard from him. Banger!
