It’s only fitting that once Lyfe Jennings selected Changes as the title for his upcoming third studio album, multiples changes would need to be made to the project before it could finally be released. Starting with the title of the album, Jennings decided he liked his stage first name so much; it needed to be in the title (thus, Lyfe Changes as the title). Then, following a leaked version of his new song, Brand New, a second version has been created, which now includes Lil’ Wayne’s original vocals, a female accompaniment on the hook and an end verse from a currently-on-house-arrest T.I.. Originally scheduled for a February release, Lyfe Changes was bumped to March, but currently awaits its date with destiny this April.
Lyfe Jennings' musical perception is so fly. He rustic vocals make his records so warm and personal. This track is a great follow-up to "Cops Up." Big this are ahead for Lyfe this Spring and is there anyone Lil Wayne can't work with?! T.I. always does great on featured verses too.
Wow, it's really different from the other version. It's such a chill and mellow track, and jennings' is ultra smooth on this track. But T.I.'s verse sounded out of place and throws off the feel of the track.
I like Lil Wayne's intro on this song. Lyfe has a really smooth and soothing voice on this track as well. The Beat is put together really well. The chorus is decent. I really like how they put T.I. on the track from house arrest. I just wish we could all see him again...His lyrics are great on this track. It will go into rotation definitely.
Im feeling this song period. I would love to hear this song when the sun is almost down, and im in my 6-4 impala driving on the rode. Lil' Wayne is a beast and he kills this song, but i can't say the same for T.I.P. He didn't really match up to Wayne or in Destny's Child song "Soldier" remeber that song. Next song with Wayne and T.I.P. I hope the King of the South can match up to the self claim Best Rapper Alive!
The beat is nice and smooth. Lyfe does a great job singing. The chorus is nice. Wayne's adds a delicate touch to the song. By far one of the best soft tracks I've heard on DJBooth. T.I. doesn't improve or hurt the song. Overall, this was a great production.
I actually prefer the original version of Brand New...although I don't like Lyfe's voice so much I'm in love with that song...but not with this version! Ok anyway
I cant believe u guyz actually rated this song below 4 starz, This song was way better than the original, I like the concept and the lyrics were on point, and the beat was improved with Lil Wayne and T.I adding to the perfect formula for a hit single
Lyfe iiz one of the REALEST r&b artists iin da game, n the calbo w/ Lil Wayne N TI iiz hot (ii love the way lil wayne can vibe to any type of music and switch up his style n still be him...sexii!)
yeah I have to say Lil wayne put some flavor to the track.. this is something new For Lyfe.. he is definitely mixing it up differently for this new album.. it's niiiiiiiice
Yall remember "Big Things Poppin" when in da beginning T.I said "I'mma show you how to do this son!" (If ya ain't remember listen to it again...anywayz that's why t.i is in the song...
