Ludacris - I'm on Fire
Artist: Ludacris
Featuring: Big K.R.I.T
Producer: Mike Will
Album: 1.21 Gigawatts: Back to the First Time
Label: DTP/Def Jam
Like many hip-hop fans, I was shocked to watch Ludacris’ not-quite-as-stellar-as-hoped BET Cypher. Watching one of the most consistent rappers of the last decade not destroy a verse was like watching Lebron lay-up an open dunk. Something had to be wrong, right? Nope, turns out (per usual) I was just overreacting. As we can all hear from new release I’m On Fire, the Ludameister’s rhyme skills are as sharp as ever. While many will see Big K.R.I.T.’s name attached and assumed Krizza also held down production duties in fact it’s Mike Will crafting that soulfully burning, distorted guitar infused beat. It’s just the recipe Ludacris needs to get cooking on some of his hilariously swaggered, charismatically delivered bars: “...to a clown of hos juggling my bean bags.” Add in yet another top shelf guest verse from K.R.I.T. that pours lyrical gasoline on the already blazing fire and you’ve got just the thing to get the people truly hyped for the release of Ludacris’ free, Back to the Future inspired album 1.21 Gigawatts: Back to the First Time, set to drop on November 15.

After that (cough, lousy, cough) collabo with Gucci Mane, we finally get a "Welcome Back, Luda!" record. And K.R.I.T. is riding shotgun? Hell to the yes.

This Luda mixtape is going to be straight FIRE! The production is sick, and Luda lyrically kills this. Nice delivery as usual. I like how Big KRIT flows in a good contrast to Luda's slow-flow. Sick track! Certified DJ BLAZE BANGER!

K.R.I.T.S flow is just nasty on this... he's on another level to everyone else at the moment. Luda was nice and the beat was solid

We should really appreciate this Ludacris moments when he's on fire, because we don't get them often lately.

I think Luda is one of the better mainstream southern rappers but recently he's been putting out sh!tty ass music. This is the Ludacris that I want back. Although the song is okay, it is a lot better than the collabo songs he did with Gucci Mane and Waka.

Whatever. Ludas flow is off (as usual), the production is weak and K.R.I.T doesn't need to colab with has-beens.

Quality music can be attached to just about anything that has a Big KRIT feature on it.
