Ludacris switches out his trademarked cartoon-character antics to let you know that it’s about to go down on the prospective street single, Call Up The Homies. On this dark and ominous banger, produced by Clinton Sparks (he’s really going in, isn’t he?), Luda and his DTP labelmate Willy Northpole take a trip out West to hang with Hurricane Game. As the hype continues to increase for the November 25 release of Theater of the Mind, the recent Atlanta Music Hall-of-Fame inductee showcases his undervalued skills once again. Very simply, if this is any indication of what fans and foes alike should expect from Cris’s new project, the Disturbing Tha Peace CEO may just have a bona fide future at turning real life movies into music.
FIRE! This is a true classic right here. Great Story Telling on all 3 parts. Willy Northpole was actually pretty impressive. Ludacris and Game painted pictures with their verses and this truely gives you a taste of what Luda is talking about when he says each song is a movie. I could clearly see this as it went on. The song is just damn good. This is the 2nd song I'd call a classic off the album with Undisputed. However, What them girls like, one more drink and wish you would were all bangers. Gonna b the album of the year.
FIRSTLY I HAVE TO SAY THIS BEAT FROM CLINTON SPARKS IS A CLUB BANGER,LUDA AND GAME GO TIT FOR TAT ON THIS AND SUITS THEM WELL THIS IS THE TYPE OF TRACK I WANTED TO HEAR FROM TWO OF HIP HOPS BEST MAYBE WILLY NORTHPOLE CSHUDNT HAVE BEEN ON IT,BUT HE DONT MAKE IT ANY WORSER I CAN HEAR THI BANGING ON THE 15" SUBS FOR AWHILE!!!
Crazy hotness from Luda! Damn, this song is like a 2008 version of Welcome To Atlanta, except you replace JD and put in Game. I think its safe to say thats a pretty good upgrade. This song is just an overall fun joint, and everyone tears it up. Luda is on a mission this album and he has not been dissapointing. Every single song is hotter than the previous one! Banger for sure!
This aint hot..this is blazing!! Godddamn. I love this track and this is going to be my new track. Sounds more like a Game beat more than a Ludacris but Luda fits perfect on this one. All artists are magnificent on this one and the beat is banging!! Great production and you can bump this in the club or in yo whip. This is classic!! No question.
I was not looking for this LUDA project anymore, because his first singles were not moving me. BUT THIS RIGHT HERE, THIS ISH RIGHT HERE NEIGHBOR, THIS ISH, THIS ISH RIGHT HERE....this is that deal. Ludacris and The Game definitely had great chemistry. Clinton Sparks got his Monica Lewinsky scandal on with one, cuz he ****** the intestines of this joint! Willy Northpole smashed as well! This is the best thing I've heard from Luda's new project...HANDS (About to go) DOWN!
i Just realized that no matter what the song; if Game and Luda are on it, i'm going to listen to it and enjoy it thoroughly. I love this song, it's like the Bulletproof Diaries. Where both artists switch of flows but still stay on the verse. truly artistic, good production. way to bring back a slick feel
Where was fire like this on L.A.X.? I mean this joint leaves me with little to say other than welcome to my radar Willy but bes believe you come wif ISH that ain't crack like dis and you'll fall faster than you came up on it.
I love the collaborations where you can tell or at least feel like they were in the studio together having a good time with nothing more than a dope beat to work on their creativity and chemistry. This is one of those songs! Clinton Sparks sets the dark mood with a simple production, but sometimes less is more: great work on the strings and sound effects. All 3 rappers dictate them words to build the picture with mesmerizing flows! But of course the chemistry between Luda and Game is the highlight.
Luda and Game need to keep makin tracks together cus they go hard together. Willy Northpole was alright at the end I can see a remix coming soon on this one they just keep callin the homies and passing the mic.
Another banger from Ludacris. Clinton Sparks puts down some crazy production! I'm not that familiar with Northpole but he sounded good on this. 2008 has been a hot year for Hip Hop so far and Theater of the Mind is going to be another album to add to the list of great projects released this year. 4/5 stars.
Yea this one is serious. Luda always does his west coast tracks right. Every single time. The one with snoop sick. Nate insane. Dj Quik=Classic and now game! This @*#$! is bangin.
This song has a really wonderful production and these rappers kill it! Yeah SefJones this is classic hip hop...I prefer more commercial songs but this is solid
I concur with several of our very musically astute members; this is the best DJBooth-featured track from Luda's new album. He and Game would be perfect for a collaboration album. I will make the suggestion to his people (if they already don't know whats up.) Shouts to AJ!
Alright...i was kinda skeptical about Luda's album especially after the single "what them girls like" (but even that track grew on me super fast, when was the last time someone featured that much of super fine, classy women in one video???)...am really anticipating it now!!
i think more artist like this should do calabos!!! game an luda!! sean gunnet and plies would be gud as there both sexual.. hmm ne yo and asher would be as gud as this as well!!!TI an Rahanna was gud as shes hot an girls say he is!!! i jsut cant get over how gud this callabo is!!!!
for some reason I didn't listen to this song until now. i'm not feeling talkative, so i'll just say its a sick track. luda gonna bring a serious challenger to the top 5 albums of the year
like the beat and the line up.game had a track called YA HEARD on his album LAX and luda smoked him on it. this one was pretty evenly balenced out they both brought the heat. Willy Northpole had a nice verse on this one.
knew game and luda were good together on a track since "whole city behind us" Willie was solid and the beat was a banger. If I can forget about that awful Chris Brown track, the album is sounding good so far.
This is straight heat here. Luda and The Game compliment each other very well. 1st time hearing these two on a track together, I think. And dang it was real proper. Willy Northpole can spit wit the best of 'em. I ain't mad at 'em. Overall the track is fresh.
