One of the most talked-about side effects of alcohol consumption is altered vision, aka “beer goggles,” which can lead drinkers to see an ugly-to-average-looking individual as a “ten”. Such a situation is the centerpiece of the newest blockbuster set to be showing in Ludacris‘s Theater of the Mind. Not being the picky type, Luda just loves to flirt with whoever he can and if she’s not quite the looker, he’ll ask for One More Drink until she is. Fellow bar-goer T-Pain co-stars, providing a soft hook and bridge over late-night production from The Trackmasters. Judging from their similar themes, expect One More Drink to be placed alongside the previously-featured What Them Girls Like. Theater of the Mind drops November 25 in record stores and online retailers.
This one here brings back the old Luda that i have been waiting for. With this song, I get a mix of "Hoes in my Room" from the comical, lyrical sense, and a bit of "Spur of the Moment" with DJ Quik from the production/flow sense. (Now that's how you dissect a track! LOL) Nonetheless, this song is mad hot! Luda's flow on here is insane and so laid back, and TP kills it on the chorus. I can't wait to hear more from this album!
A little different sound from Luda, but I like it. This could easily be a club hit. Luda doesn't have the best lyrics on here, but it is decent. The first real song I like off his new album.
Ludacris is very underrated. I think people over look him because his songs are so funny. T-Pain is good on the chorus, nice to see him return the favor.
cb126405, i completly agree with u, this is the luda that ive been wanting to hear, the other 2 singles just wernt what i wanted from him, this on the other hand is hot, nice simple beat from trackmasters and both luda & t-pain kill it. If Theater Of The Mind is more like this, i will be one happy man
I have a feeling this is Luda's match to Can't Believe It. Its similar in a way and by getting T-Pain on the track..high possibility of radio appeal. The chorus is pretty good and Luda's slow flow is perfect for this chill. I just wish T-Pain can rap about something other than alcohol. He would become much more versatile if he did..but he makin cheddar wit these hooks right now so I guess it dont matter. This is hot. 4.5!
eh itz aight. imma huge luda fan now cuz he alwayz bringz SICK lyricz but thiz iz jus OK....i guess im used to him on harder beatz i dunno wut it iz...o and t-pain wuz aight also.
HEAT! Teddy kills this! Luda is back with his funny lighthearted charismatic flow. I listened to this song 3 times in a row on the ipod today. Love it!
Everything Luda has dropped from this album is solid. I am hoping this album makes up for Luda's last effort, which I found slightly disappointing. Look for Luda to join me inside the Booth later this month for an interview. E-DUB: To answer your question, it now rounds up.
The Trackmasters really dig their thing! That introduction was so ill. The really made this a listening experience. The subject matter is a little foolish, but this is definitely classic material. Luda running 2008? I don't know about that. I think that goes to T.I., and we still got my boy Kanye who has to drop his album. Teddy smashed this here and it was an overall smash! I'll give this 4 stars. This is the best track Ludacris has released from "Theater of the Mind". The other joints didn't excite me...but this is a smash.
I'm feeling the beat but not very much the music...it doesn't fit the beat in my opinion! Luda's flow is good even if I'm not a fan of him and I don't like very much his voice. The best of this song is T-Pain! Great to see how good he sounds without the voicebox...he can really sing and has a cool voice! And now I wonder why he always covers it with the autotune effect. Ok it's his style, but he should use his voice or a light autotune effect sometimes. Like he's doing lately! In rotation!
Luda didnt do it for me on this one, I'll stick with Undisputed over this anyday.. and about the rounded up stars, i think the half stars and everything voiced our opinion of the song more IMO.
DAYUM! This is the first time I am actually WAITING for a Ludacris album. Over the years, I always knew he had skills, but he was more of a party-slash-commercial rapper. But since about the past year, I have been hearing nothing but FIRE from Luda! He even ripped it on the T.I. album. The production on this track is CRAZY! Beat is nice and smooth like a Lloyd track! Ludacris is right at home rapping for the ladies, so this is perfect for his flow. T-Pain does excellent on on here, and he is so subtle, that you might not even notice he is on the track! Excellent!
Nice track! T-Pain took a page from R. Kelly's hook on the "f**king you tonight" track with BIG. His singing is the first time he had that passion as he had in the first album.
4.5 stars. This song is the 1st song from ludacriss upcoming album that i listened to twice n a row on the booth. The beat is so ridiculously smooth. Ludas lyrics are entertaining kinda funny. T-pain did nice with the hook. Great overall song.
Hmmm...not really your usual Luda, but I like it. Don't know how many rotations smooth & funny will get on the radio though. I would definitely label this as a club banger. It might increase revenue.
Its good to see that some of the elite members of djbooth (michaelhannah,Dj Z,Dj Blaze,Bdf44,cb126405,Nathan)has become fond of T-Pain bcoz of Teddy's consistency of association with HITS !! As for Luda .. people over look him because his songs are so funny.Luda always shines and always makes me laugh. umm...another HIT....
This is hot! Better than "What Them Girls Like." This should of been the first single. I'll be jockin' this for hella days! I love the smooth beat and Ludacris' flow was perfect for this beat. Then T-Pain came in and killed the hook!
AND THIS IS WHY LUDA IS THE KING OF THE SOUTH,HE THRIVES ON BEATS LIKE THIS AND HIM AND T-PAIN COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER PERFECTLY ON THIS,CANT WAIT FOR HIS ALBUM DROP!!!!
As many people on here have already stated, Luda is underrated. He is a very good rapper. His albums have never been the greatest, but he is a very talented dude. Theater of the Mind should be a really good project...
SONIN DIFFERENT FA T-PAIN AND LUDACRIS. I LOVE IT! BUT A BANGA NOT CLASSIC! AND I DONT NEED TO TAKE ONE MORE DRINK TO SAY DIS DA JAM!!!!! PEACE OUT!!!!!!!
Definite hit by Luda, Luda should get more love from DJ's like he used to. Hopefully this along with a few other hits will get him back into heavy rotation again.
Theater of the Mind gonna be the best album dis year, it gonna be Luda's first album where he gonna talk about serious/real , funny, or about ladies put together.
I love when Luda does a Hip-Hop/R&B song. He complements most R&B artists really well. I dunno, I just love this song plus the message of the song is comical
yea i agree wit cb126405 this does sound like da old luda bac in the day this song fonna be on fre wen it comes out on the radio n t-pain did his thng on the chorus n the verse he got club banger fo sho
beat cought my attention rite away ......And ludacris is very versitile because he can have a relaxed flow and beat but have that regular high engery in his verses-T-pain does nice on the hook - trackmasters does a real nice job on the production on this one they always deliver on the beats
Only song I like off Ludas next album is "Undisputed". @*#$! the song with Chris Brown also. I wish he wouldnt choose these wack singles like "Money Maker", the song with Chris Brown. The song with T.I. is ok.
One More Drink is not wack, its a very unique radio song. "Undisputed" was a classic Hip Hop song but it won't get no airplay. This combined with "What Them Girls Like" will allow him to sell more. He has more street singles on the way before the release.
Real laid back kind of feel song and you can kind of get into it with Luda give us the feel that he is talking and walking through this. First verse on this was a little to silly for me though and made me want to skip past that part of the song.
A nice track... Luda's always nice though, I prefer his more gutter tracks, this is straight for the club and radio.. T-Pain consistently cheapens tracks... so, naturally it's gonna grab a 3.. but, I'm a sucker for Luda period.
