For those who aren’t fans of down south hip-hop, I encourage you not to foster negative feelings about the new Ludacris song, Down In The Dirty. Based on the title alone it is easy to assume that the content has been reused and recycled more than T-Pain. Although when it comes to down south artists, Ludacris and his featured guests Bun B and Rick Ross, you’d be hard pressed to find three more lyrically-gifted storytellers (regardless of location). Produced by DJ and radio host extraordinaire, Clinton Sparks, the song will be included on the inevitable release of DTP’s compilation project, Strength in Numbers.
I have recently learned that Rick Ross is actually a Strong ass rapper lyrically...He can really rock and this track is another example. This track is damn good...
Luda and Bun B are the best in the game right now in my books, good to see a tune with them on the same track, buttttt i don't like how Luda just talks his way through this track, Bun makes this tune though. Ricky Ross is good on this, same old 20 numbers though, and the same lyrics as another song of his, HATE IT when rappers do that, no talent, and its as if they ran out of words to put in the song so they just look at their old songs and sing along. 5 stars for Bun B, 3.5 for Rick Ross, 3 for Luda.
Clinton Sparks lays it down with the nice back-and-forth production technique that perfectly matches Ludacris's lyricism. Rick Ross and Bun B surprisingly deliver on their feature appearances. Southern rap at it's best right here!
lmao dj z u r too funny. eww only luda can rock side burns like dat...if i saw a nigga on da street wit his burns like dat i would look at him like he crazy....i agree luda coulda came harder....
THIS SONG MAKES ME MISS THA CHICKENS DAT WOULD RUN IN THE ALLEY ON GOODYEAR STREET AKA DA DIRTY...THIS IS A CLASSIC AND YES IT WILL BE IN MY TRUNK AS SOON AS I DOWNLOAD IT!!
