So far, LoveRance‘s features in the Booth have consisted of two reader-approved remixes (regular and Big Von-flavored) of a single record, Up. Today, for the first time, we get to hear something totally original from the Bay Area buzzmaker—so original, in fact, that even its title is newly-coined by the artist. Akup, presumably named after LoveRance’s abbreviated pronunciation of “act up,” finds League of Extraordinary Starz filleting some vocoder samples a la Ginuwine‘s Pony as the emcee chonicles his boss-like exploits. Lending their guest rhymes to this high-rolling, braggadocious banger are YMCMB family member Tyga (whose latest single, Do My Dance, is currently fourth on our Top Hip Hop and R&B Chart) and Watts-repping Booth regular Problem (whose latest mixtape, Welcome to Mollywood 2, is scheduled to drop later today). Stay tuned for further details on LoveRance’s Interscope debut, which as yet lacks both a title and a drop date.

I want to dislike this and revolt against it, but its pretty f**king catchy, if you ask me. Dumb club music that will eventually get old, after it gets worn out.

This was decent....could have been better. I'll still give it a few spins though.
