The 184th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Logics, the Florida native best known for his work with acclaimed live-band hip-hop ensemble ArtOfficial. On his brand new, exclusive Everything freestyle, the indie emcee flows over a J. Dilla-produced instrumental originally featured on The Roots’ Dilla Joints mixtape. Logics and his ArtOfficial crew are already working on their next project entitled Misfits, Scholars and Mystics, scheduled for release early next year.

We've featured so much of ArtOfficial over the past few years, it simply made sense for us to ask Logics to be a part of our freestyle series.
His flow is overrun with passion, but remains controlled in execution. It's engaging with the listener, but also comes across as private in narrative. Since I'm a fan I'm bias, but there is nothing but praise I can heap on Logics and his band members.

This is that pure, raw hip-hop. No one made beats like Dilla, the man was on a different level, and Logics does J-Donuts legacy with a more than worthy addition to our freestyle series. Respect.
