For many up-and-comers, winning rave reviews for a Booth-featured cut would be cause to break out the champagne. For Logic, however, it’s Just Another Day. Fresh off turning heads with mixtape freestyle Young Sinatra II, the follow-up to June’s Mind of Logic, the DMV representative returns to dazzle us once again with the final release off his forthcoming street album. Sunny Norway goes retro on the production tip, flipping a sample from Queen Latifah’s Just Another Day (complete with vocal hook) into a chill, head-nodic instrumental backdrop for his confident bars. After affirming his dedication to the grind on the front, Logics segues into a discussion of his love life, admitting that he “[f*cks] with b*tches just to mask [his] insecurities” before spitting game to a female who’s “black and Asian, half-Hispanic and half amazin’.” (My fellow sample hounds will be amused to hear him follow Kanye‘s precedent by using the Funky President “Hey!” as a stand-in for his d*ck.) While this cut may be Logic’s usual, I think Booth readers will agree that it’s pretty damn exceptional—or have I got it twisted? If you agree with my assessment, more freshness awaits on the emcee’s Young Sinatra LP, scheduled to hit the ‘net Sept. 19. In addition, fans can click here to peep the official video.

Logic has a chance to be a star in this industry. He's unique enough (especially as a white emcee), his vocal tone is there, and he has done a great job thus far (from what I have heard) at picking production that suits his rapping comfort zone. He isn't trying to be Nas or Twista, lets get that straight. Keep it up, man.

What can I say... Logic is one of my favorite artists at this point. A man who takes his work seriously. If the music industry had a brain they would dump all the souljas, guccis and wakas and look in this kid's direction. Classic!

I dont know what to say...Logic is better than majority of the emcees I hear lately. He doesnt just make a track, he makes music and very few do that.
