When producers Jasper and Big Reese chopped up an old Biz Markie sample and created Lloyd’s current single, Girls Around the World, it was only a matter of time before the industry’s best and brightest hopped aboard. Thus, in honor of Tuesday’s drop date for the Atlanta-born singer’s new album, Lessons In Love, it made sense for the Booth to unveil the remix. Headed by DJ Khaled (is a remix unofficial unless he jumps on or something?), Lloyd’s smooth, Michael-esque vocals fall on either side of guest spots from The Game, T.I., Yung Joc, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, Young Dro, Pitbull and Busta Rhymes. What, you didn’t think R&B singers could get their remix cake up too?
Note: The streaming of “Girls Around the World (Remix)” has temporarily been suspended.
Listen to Lloyd's Girls Around the World (Remix) ft. Various Artists
I'm with onestar...I like Lloyd singing on the original, with the "All around the world..." in the background. This doesnt have that, and it just turns into a typical rap song.
YEAH THE GAME LAYED A DOPE VERSE DOWN ON THIS AND I LIKED THE ADDITION OF RAPPERS TO THIS CLASSIC SAMPLE,THE ORIGINAL WAS GOOD AND THIS ISNT TO BAD EITHER..
All the featured artists on this one all lay down nice verse's but the first one was still better. I can listen to this beat all day tho so making it a rap song doesn't make me rate it lower it's still a banger.
Man. Getting the Game and having him open up on the track was a great move. He delivered a good flow and verse just like always. I didn't like the beat dropping out on the hook. It made the vocals sound naked. T.I sounded much better on this track than that Maino Remix. Joc held his own. His verse was okay. Rick Ross (the resident hip hop cop) sounded right at home on the beat. His vocal tone and flow almost made me wish B.I.G was still alive to lace this track. That would be a REAL hot remix. Young Dro hasn't been killing it lately. Not at all. I think he's fell off. Pitbull is my least favorite rapper ever. I don't know...his voice just annoys me...IDK why...it just does. Busta's verse was very generic as well. Overall, this entire remix sounded really congested, crowded, generic, bland and entirely too long with no strong points. I am very disappointed that Lloyd would co-sign for this.
I don't like that much...It takes a sample from an old rap song, that probably took it from another song... Anyway the original beat was better, Now the song is just boring =[
Each rapper drops decent verses, nothing really impressive. But I agree with a few above about how they can't really call this a remix of "Girls Around The World", since it is pretty much the beat to Eric B. & Rakim's "Paid In Full". Its decent.
It's pretty long but it's a tight remix. Most of the rappers had strong performances. They should have combined some of the verses in the end instead of playing the hook in between each of the last three verses to make it a little shorter. It's still good, in rotation.
dammn it would have been hott if willi.a.m. produced like he produced Nas' "Where Are They Now Remix" when played the vetern rappers of the game's most well known single instrumental under their vocals
Game ripped this beat. TI was alright. Jocs verse was forgettable. Ross was straight. Don't know why Ace Hood was on here. Dro has the TI disease. Always has the same flow on almost everything. Pitbull was actually alright on here. Busta was coo. Pretty good remix.
