On August 5, Lloyd will release his brand new album, Lessons In Love. Originally scheduled for a release in mid-July, the project has been pushed back so that the current single, Girls All Around The World, can work its way up both the radio charts. While the world awaits the singer’s junior project, however, two new records have been sent to the Booth… both of which have been left off the LP. Lose Control, one of the last songs recorded during his studio sessions, features production work from Polow Da Don and a guest verse (w/ ad libs) from Nelly. Lloyd spoke of the collaboration during his May interview with DJBooth, “we were up very very late in the morning, but time was of no value to us, ‘cause we were just havin’ a good time.” Unfortunately, this good time will go unreleased.
Note: The streaming of “Lose Control” has temporarily been suspended.
Im a straight up Nelly fan, always have, always will be....his style is so unique and creative that no one can duplicate it. So im a little biased. Lloyd has also been doin his thing lately too, this song is a straight chilled out banger. It would do great at radio, they should roll with this.
I'm digin this. Very Grown and sexy! I'm a big fan of the kid lloyd. His last album was one that really brought back that 80 R&B feel. I think his new album will be good as well. This song is slower than most would like but right up my alley.
Polow's production is off the chains on this. This track is very solid. Lloyd is an eclectic R&B artist. I always expect different and new things from him on his joints and he always delivers.
Ahahahaha MAD(e) in Italy before reading your comment I was already thinking to write the same things as you...after a banging track like Hero I was expecting more from Polow Da Don...when I read that this song had been produced by him, I though "oh it will be a banger for sure". Unfortunately this is very boring, it sucks...it's ok because the music is good
I can not stand lloyds voice so i will not rate. Polow has nice production on here as usual. I cant take nelly seriously anymore. I have not heard a decent verse from him since grillz came out i dont think.
Im a huge lloyd fan and im disappointed with this song but glad he was smart enough not to put it on his album. I can't wait for his album to drop (already have it marked on my calendar). I think we all know by now that Lloyd is a lot more talented then this...if u don't, listen to his first album Southside...the whole album will be on repeat!
its ok but not all that there were plenty songs on Street Love that were better than this. When i read what Z said, i was sad that a song with Nelly wasn't going to be on the album, but now i see that it isn't the 5-star son i thought it was. I might give it a second listen if my brother would stop attempting to appropriate the computer... :-(
I've been a Nelly fan but not lloyd, though i enjoyed his collabo wih Andre 3000.This soundz like an old wacko jacko hit,not feeling Polow on this.I think a remix wld do.
maybe this review is bias cuz i already dont like lloyd, but i just really dont like this song. nor do i like any song he has ever come out with.. maybe with the exception of 2.
