Though Atlanta has enough rap anthems (Welcome to Atlanta, for example) to fill up a few compilation albums, there hasn’t been a true R&B anthem for the city. That is, until hometown crooner Lloyd decided to leak a buzz single that details How We Do It (Around My Way). While Mr. Polite sings about the same city-topics that have been rapped about by plenty before him, nothing can stop guest feature Ludacris from continuing his blazing hot collaboration binge. Whatever the case may be, standout production should get How We Do It plenty of rotations around the city (e.g., Hawks home games). Expect Lloyd’s as-yet untitled third studio album to land in stores sometime before the end of ‘08.
Wow.. orringinal!! dont know if i like it or not but but im deffinatly feelin the original stuff hez pullin out at the moment.. itz real different and thatz nice!!
this is nice ... hmmm like that beat ..... damnn ha ... wtf ppl chage is good like naw meen ... i'm like waitin for new SOUNDS for the new YEAR.... and i'm feeln this .... i'll BUMP it DUM DUM ALL DAY.... lyke LOYD , LUDA on dis ... club BANGA fo sho ...!!!!
Lloyd had one of the better R&B albums of 2007, so I think most fans have very high expectations for him on this new go-around. This song is solid, but it isn't a smash.
It is very good to see Lloyd is going to capitalize off of his recent success with an immediate follow-up album. This is what he needs. Lloyd is the most improved R&B artist of 2007. He still continues to surprise me even when the beat isn't as good as it could be which is the case here. His voice definitely helps the beat. I like the flow to the song. I'm just not really crazy about it. Rotation for sure!
i dont kno why but this song reminds me of michael jackson's "speed demon"...or if you take out the vocals, and intramental from a board from spyro..lol
i hated it n im from da A...it was boring n horribly lyrically. tho i do agree wit dj z dat lloyd had a good album n 07...i bought it da first week it came out n it saddens me dat its only went gold but u should c how hoes b screamin his name when he performs yet when he sings a song dats not a single, dey b on hush mouth....its eitha u a fan or u not....cant jus like sumbod cuz u think dey look good....(shakes head) n i ant like luda on dis...
Lloyd has been steadily improving his musicianship. I like this song. The beat is different. Ludacris does a great job as a featured artist. This is definitely club material.
Decent, gets better the second and third time! But these latest leaked songs wont make it too an album so you can't expect much! He really excelled and improved drastically with his second album 'Street Love'. Wait till his next album and Lloyd will prove why he's one of the more talented young R&B singers in the game!
