With their much talked-about (but not highly-anticipated) G-Unit compilation album set for release this summer, Curtis and his big boys club will get an opportunity to redeem themselves after last year’s disappointments. Before that time comes, however, Lloyd Banks wants to make a few things clear. On the newly dropped freestyle, I Am Legend, Banks sounds alive for the first time in years and rips the track with an energy level more common to fellow Unit member, Young Buck. Following unsatisfactory sales figures and reviews for his sophomore album, Rotten Apple, Banks was clumped amongst other industry MCs who failed to live up to their debut offerings. Only time will tell if those judgments were justified.

It's okay. I think it might be one of those freestyles that need to get heard a few times to really be into it. He does come with an energy but I still ain't hearing that cocky swagger in him. Keep on tryin though.

Banks sounds hungry on this track. It's nice to see him in a different light. This track would of gone nicely in the soundtrack to I AM LEGEND the movie. This brings me back to the mid-90's. Great beat. I can definitly bump this during a nice summer day.

Because of the fact that Lloyd clearly labeled this a freestyle record, I have to take into consideration his freestyle abilities along with the overall quality of the track. G-Unit has been very weak lately and if 50 Cent isn't delivering the goods Lloyd and the others really have to step it up. Lloyd sounds hungry, but ultimately the freestyle skills could be better.

It's pretty good but doesn't wow me, nothing real special. Lloyd is sounding alive tho, i'm used to fallin asleep to his songs (hah hah) just playing but I do find his songs a lil dull at times and this is pretty crazy but I can't get it into it enough to really like it.

Lloyd banks isn't as good as he used to be. I don't know what happened to him. I think Yayo is a beast right now and he is the one that is going to make this G-Unit new album Hot. We'll just have to wait and see...

Haha, I like how nobody read FREESTYLE in the title, of course the lyrics are gonna be crap by his normal standards. For a freestyle its not bad, I like freestyles that tell a story. But I still dont like LLoyd Banks =).
