A little over a week has passed since news broke that Jay-Z will be releasing a concept album entitled, American Gangster. There is no doubt that Jay-Z is the quintessential rapper to helm a project of that title (and caliber if it’s good), but Al Capone and his Chicago roots aside, New York is synonymous with rap artists trying to portray a ‘gangsta’ image. For that reason alone, along with a publicly known animosity towards the Def Jam President, it should come as no surprise LL Cool J has dropped a song entitled, NY Gangsta. Some would say it’s a diss record. Decide for yourself!

LL is definitely surprising me lately! This track is very good and so is the one with 50-cent and Prodigy and Tony Yayo with LL called Queens...
He is definitely showing that he can still bang out with the youngins!

Word is LL's getting pretty heated at Jay for the the delays on his album release. Makes sense, if the tracks on the album are all like this it should be in stores. And is there anyway LL's not on steroids? That man's clearly been working out with Barry Bonds.

LL did it with this...melodic beat compliments the old skool flow...definitely better than that Blue Magic but Jay would sound hella tight on this track

I really like this song LL Cool J. It was really smooth and mellow. Bob sound as good as always. Keep up the good work. Everything don't have to sound the same as what everyone expects. Change is always good. I Love It.

Everything on this song sounds really nice. The lyrics, the music, the way LL rap, and Bobby Womack still sound as good as he did back in the day. Both of you got my vote. Do so more cause it sounds really good. Old school mixed with today's rap, I really love it!!
