Late Sunday, DJ Booth was informed that evidently The 5 Boroughs Is Back?!  According to Queens-born actor/rapper LL Cool J and his four New York friends, Jim Jones (Harlem), Method Man (Staten Island), KRS-One (Bronx), and Lil’ Kim (Brooklyn), the birth place of the popular art form known as hip-hop has been resurrected.  While the collaboration is powerful, it doesn’t feature a single New York artist (save Jim Jones) who has made a significant impact in the rap game as of late.  So, who would be your five ideal representatives?  Include your choices with your feedback!

This got a good beat right here! Jim Jones raps OK on here. Method RIPS this beat! The beat is tight right here and it is a good collaboration! Lil Kim did decent and LL ripped it a lil bit. My dream representatives would be Juelz or Max B (Harlem), Method could stay for Staten Island, Papoose (Brooklyn), 50-Cent (Queens), and Hell Rell (Bronx).

Method Man is by far my favourite MC from NY and one of my top MC's ever! man is a ledge, when they did that 5 boroughs part again after Meth it got real old quick...it was good as an intro sample, but to make the whole thing as the hook is kinda lame. everyone delivers on here real good but as i said, meth murked it!

This song would've been good about 10 years ago, when NY rappers were still on top. Now, like DJJ said, who cares. I'll give it a 2 because Method Man put it down.

Why the h*ll Juelz aint reppin Harlem, and if only we had Nas and Big reppin Queens and BK. That would be insane. This is kinda ike a 2nd class lineup except for Method and KRS.

Nopeeee! Idk Y but every song i hear from LL i think it sounds old for some reason.. and the beat is kinda annoying on this one to.. but i guess it could go in rotation for a little bit

But Blaze couldnt have said it any better with the representatives except for Hell Rell and 50 Cent..

Juelz (Harlem),
Method (Staten Island),
Papoose (Brooklyn),
Capone (Queens),
KRS-One (Bronx).

The production on this beat is wack. Actor/Rapper LL Cool J describes it all. He's trying to bring his old self back, but that's over. That's almost as foolish as Mase becoming gangsta rapper again. This song didn't have any skills in it. The got lots of legends and sacrificed making a decent song. Method did his thing. The rest of the M.Cs, including K.R.S and LL himself were wack. Point blank. I know what hip hop is, so don't comment me on that...I'm just not digging it. A New York anthem track has to include Jay-Z and Nas or I'm not listening to it. I also agree that Papoose should've been called for this remix, as well as ya man Busta. 2 for the Meth verse.

Hm.. I can't say that I like Jim Jones in the least bit, and I would definetely not have him on my track representing the borroughs, but I'm not much on Harlem rappers anyways. Everyone else comes pretty solid on this track, but I did like "NY Gangsters" much better. Good to hear LL back in the game though. I would have rather had Jay representing Brooklyn for sure :)

The beat is a little distraction. I don't really care for the track that much, but it's good to see Method Man on a track. I've missed him.

Jim Jones & the "ballinnn" skit should be bagged!

K, you know how like they all made this rule that we can't get dissed in the forum. Well, but that's what makes it all fun. I don't have as much fun without the contradiction. Like I don't even attend this anymore cause there's no more fire against what I say cause that rule was made. All it is, is opinions, boring, we gotta get that fire again. I'm up for bein' dissed. I liked it when Bossdogg did that. But anyway on this song it's a bit boring like the beat, sounds it's too repetitave. I think they could have gone maybe a bit more hardcore like harder I don't know how to explain and like otherwize it's a good song

It's seems a few don't understand this calab. First off, it's L's song, why wouldn't he be on it? Secondly, the o'skoo veterans are reppin'(with the exception of Jim Jones). He's fairly new to the game but he's an old head too. Maybe that's why he was the choosen one. And Thirdly... The only thing missing from this 5 Borough o'skoo arsenal is.. MASE. He shoulda rep'd Harlem. As for Juelz & dem, they're nice with-it but let them do a new'skoo joint. This here is for the grown & sexy. lol, lol!! Now, like L, lick ya lips... kiss ya fingaz (muah!)... & throw up the peace sign.

I think this is a song that will alienate the rest of the country! Which being form Cali puts me in that alienated category! Honestly, that doesn't bother me at all. California Love was a song that the world felt even though it paid homage to me and mine. No prob with New York gettin they shine on. Although this does not compare as far as quality of song, I still can see a place in hip hop a 4 New York anthem. Wheres Nas? Jay-Z? Cory Gunz? Any of the Lox? Puff? Busta? 50? We need another remix ta dat! DMX? Mobb Deep? R.I.P. Big! We need to get an honest ta god anthem 4 the 5 boroughs !!! This is cool but, I want more!!
