Despite being credited as the focal artist on his new album Version, Hip Hop producer Mark Ronson provides very few vocals. Instead Ronson gathers numerous artists of all genres to perform covers of classic rock songs. U.K. singer Lily Allen (Drivin’ Me Wild) performed an updated version of the Kaiser Chiefs’ Oh My God on the album’s second single. While Allen’s vocals are softer than the original, she still delivered a respectable cover. For the remix, hyper MC Busta Rhymes hops on board the double-decker bus, switching up his style to an impressively grimy pattern that displays his lyrical mastery. Real fans of hip-rock/indie should have this one on repeat. Version is in stores now.
lol, "hyper" is the perfect word to describe Busta Rhymes. Doesn't mean he isn't an amazing rapper. One of the best still alive. This girl's a pretty good singer. The songs kinda weird, but good at the sametime. Busta Rhymes verse wasn't pumped with energy as usually, but filled with.. intelligence and big words. Weird song, but still kind catchy. Haha.
Hip-hop is the only genre that can collaborate rate with any other musical style out there. Lily Allen seems to be popular with rappers and this track is perfectly put together. I love the production and Busta does a great job with adjusting to the sound. Too bad this will probably go unnoticed.
rare groove break whos Lily allen she just killed the beat.. busters this is stooping low dude i like ya rap voice but this is garbage and shame on you booth for putting it on here
DNS5000... there is a reason why vanilla and chocolate both exist potna! It is so there is something for everyone. Just because you don't like this, doesn't mean someone out there won't. If Lily Allen was good enough for Common, she is just fine with me!
