With anticipation for his I’m Not a Human Being EP, dropping in September, beginning to build, Lil Wayne and Young Money protege Drizzy Drake drop a single sure to be a radio success like the 74,374 other songs Wayne has touched the last couple of years. With the classic “Kane is in the building” intro, producer Kane Beatz, who has been working with everyone from Rick Ross to Trey Songz lately, crafts another instrumental that will have females dancing and the fellas head bobbing. On the heels of his Thank Me Later platinum certification, Drake starts things off with a nice 16 that finds him delving into his favorite subject, girls: “Don’t like my women single, I like my chicks in twos.” Wayne quickly follows with two verses chalked full of major punchlines like, “I’ve been fly so long I fell asleep on the f*cking plane,” and other lines you’ll surely see popping up as Facebook statuses. Although these two could go harder, it is obvious that Wayne and Drizzy are bound to have another radio hit on their hands. Now Wayne just needs to get out of prison.

I might be overrating this song, but its been so long (or it at least feels that way) since we've had NEW rapping Wayne I am feeling generous. Plus, Kane kills the production.

I can actually see this smashing the radio for some reason. I thought that Drake went in on this; regardless if it was his Tim Westwood verse. The verse was ill then, and it's ill now.

But does anybody notice how the instrumental/production sounds a lot like "Ransom" on some parts?

But this was nice. I wonder what this Lil Wayne EP is all about...either way, it should be interesting. Weezy...

I'm wit the others; you can't help but like it. There's just something about putting Drizzy and Wayne's voices over a dope beat, it just sounds good no matter what they say.

I'm sorry but I have to rate it 5 stars. If this is what we are going to hear when November arrives then 'I Am Not Human' will be massive. This is the first Wayne song I have been able to really get behind since 'Tha Carter 3'.

I am however not overrating this. It's not a classic but it comes close. The beat is just so addicting it's ridiculous, and the lyrics aren't half bad either. This is feel good music and the perfect song as we come to the close of summer.

DJ Baer, you convinced me to up it a star. You're right, the production is great for summer. However, I would say the lyrics ARE half bad. Like with all of Wayne's songs, he strings together 16 unrelated I'm-the-man quotables, and a couple of them stick. Yeah, that is what this track asks for, but I expect more from "The Best Rapper Alive".

XuUP17 you are right, after listening to it the lyrics aren't that strong, but the production by Kane is just so addicting that I can't help but leave it at a 4.5

Drake's verse is ripped directly from his Tim Westwood freestyle. And Wayne does his thing as usual, his sports analogies are always on point.

Who really tryna fcuk with Hollywood Cole? I’m with Marley G bro
flying Hollygrove chicks to my Hollywood shows
and I wanna tell you something that you prolly should know
this that Slumdog Millionaire bollywood flow and I...
my real friends never hearin’ from me
fake friends write the wrong answers on the mirror for me
that’s why I pick and choose, I don’t get sh!t confused
I got a small circle, I’m not with different crews
we walk the same path, but got on different shoes
live in the same building, but we got different views
I got a couple cars I never get to use
don’t like my women single, I like my chicks in twos
and these days all the girls is down to roll
I hit the strip club and all them b!tches find the floor
plus I just sipped and so this sh!t is movin’ kinda slow
just tell my girl to tell her friend that it’s time to go

[Hook]
Now tell me how you love it
you know you at the top when only heaven’s right above it
We on...
It’s Young Money, motherfcuker
if you ain’t runnin’ wit it, run from it, motherfcuker, all right!

Now somebody show some money in this b!tch
and I got my bees with me like some honey in this b!tch, ya dig...
I got my gun in my boo purse
and I don’t bust back, because I shoot first

[Lil Wayne]
Meet me on the fresh train
yes, I’m in the building, you just on the list of guest names
and all of my riders do not give a fcuk... X Games
guns turn you boys into pussies... sex change
and I smoke til I got chest pains
and you n!ggas know I rep my gang like Jesse James
Women all possessive, and they wanna possess Wayne
I been fly so long I fell asleep on the fcukin plane
skinny pants and some Vans
call me Triple A, get my advance in advance, amen
As the world spin and dance in my hands
life is a beach, I’m just playin’ in the sand
Uh, wake up and smell the pu$$y
you n!ggas can’t see me, but never overlook me
I’m on the paper trail, it ain’t no tellin’ where it took me
Yeah, and I ain’t a killa, but don’t push me

[Lil Wayne]
Uh,
How do he say what’s never said?
Beautiful black woman, I bet that b!tch look better red
limpin’ off tour cos I made more off my second leg
mahfcukin’ Birdman Junior, eleventh grade
ball on automatic start
I could hand it to Drake or do a quarterback draw
wildcat offense, check the paw prints
we in the building, you n!ggas in apartments
Uh, n-now, c’mon, be my blood donor
flow so nice, you ain’t gotta put a rug on her
do it big, and let the small fall under that
damn! where you stumbled out? From where they make gumbo at
Kane got the fcukin’ beat jumpin’ like a jumping jack
you know me, I get on this b!tch and have a heart attack
Hip-Hop, I’m the heart of that, n!gga, nothin’ short of that
President Carter, Young Money Democrat, uhh

[Hook]
Now tell me how you love it
you know you at the top when only heaven’s right above it
We on...
It’s Young Money, motherfcuker
if you ain’t runnin’ wit it, run from it, motherfcuker, all right!

Well, after listening to Drake's verse i had the feeling I knew it from somewhere. An early comment already said it's one the Tim Westwood verses...and well, i didn't like back then, and it hasn't changed yet. Some of Weezy's verses were hard, but like usually he drifts far away from the actual topic of the song. No doubt the beat is catchy, but for me the song is only average overall considering what these 2 artists are capable of

This is like the third time Ive heard that Drake verse....don't 'freestyle' verses that you did for Wayne's singles, people will notice Drizzy Drake!

This song goes hard, it falls in line with the quality standard of previous Wayne/Drake collabos. Will be interesting to see what's on the EP... No doubt that when Weezy is released, the buzz for the Carter IV will reach fever pitch!

Let's be honest - Wayne being in prison makes every new record feel rare and even doper. If he was free and has been churning out his usual five tracks a week for the past few months, we'd be saying this was pretty good, but not incredible. The beat's nice, the rhymes are nice, but not the absolute best wayne/drake/kane has to offer.

With that said, I'm just like everyone else. I got excited as f**k when I heard this was released, listened to it five times in a row, and really enjoyed it. Some definitely hit potential.

Wayne has greatest punchlines EVER! I mean EVER! just listen to this…..

“I’m so fly I fell asleep on a @*#$! plane”! I mean it is so complex if you think about it – usually you can fall asleep on a plane onlyin business class, because in other classes it stinks like a @*#$!. So if he flies business class he must be rich and dress fly! also he said “fucking plane”, which means plane where they @*#$!! I mean how much confidence do you need to fall asleep while @*#$!! amazing!

“Guns turn you boys to pussies, sex change” thats another classic! Like if you think about it, boys cant have pussies right? so they have to change their sex to be like them! and he does it with simple guns! On the other hand when he pulls out his guns boys turn to pussies and hoes and he is a pimp! (check out his song from da drought is over 2 series called im pimp – he says that he is apimp there) so these boys start to work their pussies off and earn money for him – therefore sex change! use your heads you @*#$! haters!

3) “I’m in the building you niggaz in apartments” – this line is one of those deep social commentary lines and took me a while to figure out. Remember when black people were living by their master like dogs? now they can buy apartments like other normal people! Lil Wayne reflects on how far black people progressed from opressed monkeys to respectable men.

Lil Wayne is the best raper alive!

On the serious note verses were 3.5 for me, but this catchy hook bumps it up half a star for me. Where is I'm Me??

Lmfao setgecko could you dick ride any harder? Those lines are average at best and far from complex. Lil wayne lacks content and only has a basic ryhme scheme. Anyway, the tracks very addictive. Drakes verse is good and waynes is good. Hook is sick, but if I'm honest the beat does the most work.

Same old boring Drake...I was just listening to his old stuff (like Fear which isn't that old, and Congratulations...) and realized how far downhill he has gone. He started off good in this song, but then it got boring.

No doubt its good to hear Wayne rapping...every time that i start to doubt Wayne he impresses me somehow...he could of came a little bit harder, but w/e

Production was fabulous

And that "Sex Change" line left me laughing

3.5
