With a 750 word, mostly negative, album review still looming large in the rearview I can’t sit here and pretend that I’ve loved Lil Wayne’s music lately, but maybe that will make it mean even more when I say that new (possible) single Mirror has some serious hit potential. Producer Ramon “REO” Owens had Kanye, Drake and Nas all pass on Mirror’s eerie, dark, completely sample free beat before Weezy wisely decided to pick it up, building on the instrumental’s serious overtones with some of his most serious and world wise lyrics to date. As opposed to the punchline heavy flow Wayne used for much of the album, here we get a flow so slow it often borders on the spoken word, letting Mr. Carter’s legitimately nice lines shine: “Life lined up on the mirror / don’t blow it.” (I’ll give you a moment to think it over.) Throw in yet another moving hook from Bruno Mars and we’ve got Weezy’s new “take your lighters at stadium anthem.” Those desperately searching their Carter IV’s tracklist for Mirror will need to buy the albums’ deluxe version, available now.

"Mirror" is one of five songs that I actually really enjoy off the new Carter IV. And crazy enough... it didn't even make the regular album. Bruno is a hit-making machine and Wayne's sober side really shines here. This will win at radio when its eventually selected as an official single.

One of his better songs. Not a big fan of Carter 4. Bruno Mars provides good vocals that go well with the beat. I like when Wayne has more story telling lyrics, not about money or weed.

This is meant to be one of the better songs on Tha Carter IV and I still dont like it. Weezy has definitely fallin off the last year or so. The production and Bruno could of easily made for a hit single (It prob will still chart high though), but I felt Weezy wasted it.

It's a solid song. screams hey play me on the radio. its good to hear somewhat of a concept rather than random punchlines (not that i dont enjoy some of the random punchline songs). I think on the whole it falls short of How To Love, that song makes you forgive all the other shit weezy chats.. well in my opinion anyway.

Its a good song so four stars..btw, its only good b Bruno is on it, c'mon, you know I am right. To me Weezy has peaked. And the performance at the VMAs has further solidified my believe. Weezy actually things he is the "G.O.A.T". With the skateboarding and rock n roll ensemble, brotha please. Weezy needs to get back to his art form because he is now a watered down version of himself.

I'm sure this will be popular, considering putting either of these guys on a track will result in commercial popularity. However, I'm really not feeling it. It's boring and lacks substance and depth. Wayne has really fallen off and is not the same Wayne that he used to be.
