With the (supposed) release of The Carter IV this spring, it was inevitable that unreleased/leftover cuts from Lil Wayne‘s past recording sessions would leak to the net. Thus, we present the Detail-produced I Hate Love, which was recorded during Weezy’s auto-tune days and will not be a part of his forthcoming album.

Its a dark and eerie tale of love from a usually braggadocious emcee. I give it three starts for being experimental. The auto-tune aint necessary.

This track is very creative... It's not something I'd listen to more than 3 times cause that's just depressing. But it's cool on how he captures the vibe of how messed up it is when you hate love.
I think it's pretty clear that it's not meant to be for the radio, the club, to cruise to, or to listen on your ipod. Just something to show the off the creativity of Lil Wayne... or that he's hopped up on some new drug cocktail... |

This is a different type of song from wayne. But, many people can probably relate to it. It's one of my favorite songs by him. :)

I am feeling the abstract quality of this track. This could have been a C4 track, but if this is a throw-away track, then this album is gonna be straight FIRE!!! Production is tight. Weezy does his thing lyrically on here. BANGER status for me. I'll bump this again for sure.
