Arguably the best-known record of his career, California Love was released by 2pac Shakur in ’95 and went on to become a #1 record at Billboard. Now, a little less than 13 years later, that love for California has returned in the form of a new song by the collaborative duo of Lil’ Wayne and West Coast native, Tyga. Set to appear on the second edition of Tyga’s No Introduction: The Series mixtape (which is a lead up to his No Introduction album drop, this June), the song features Weezy on the voicebox, Weezy off the voicebox, and a Weezy chorus that is practically stolen from The Beach Boys‘ classic single, California Girls. Oh…and it also features Tyga, who will be inside our DJ Booth later this week.
He gets good at about 2:20, but he needs to take that lyrical speed and apply it to the beginning of the song. He sounds almost to drugged out. Tyga is garbage.

Usually when Lil Wayne doesnt try, the song becomes a classic. But you can really tell he didnt try hard on this one. Tyga is comming up I like his flow. Please dont let this be on the Carter 3

Sounds like Wayne was just messing around on the track. That's not too good. He must've been impaired by some cough syrup or something. Tyga is doing his thing. I like him. Obviously, he gotta bring it every time because he's brand new and has to prove himself. Let's hope that swag and flow he has now stays with him even after he blows up, unlike Wayne who's earned the "best rapper" credentials and feels he can just make trash at times just because.
First off on Lil wayne's efforts lately........ I really wish I was still hearin the same Wayne of Carter 1 and 2, but I guess that aint gonna happen cuz this dude i on too many drugs now or somethin. On tha real though, Wayne was in my mind gonna be a top 10 rappers of all time, but that has been ruined by the voicebox. I really believe he has lyrical ability, but he is really slackin lately. Dude needs a counselor. He is ruinin his career. Anyway as far as the song it is straight garbage, and just makes me turn farther away from the new wayne back to the "Go DJ" Wayne.

this track is normal for me. simply an average track that doesn't stand out at all but it doesn't suck - its just one of those tracks that are just there, that leaves no impact...this will definetly be forgetten after this is posted

I don’t have high expectations for The Carter III anymore… I just hope none of these so called experimental stuff make the final cut, so that I may be surprised with a great album, like The Carters are suppose to be. This song is on Tyga's mixtape album??? Its 90% Wayne and 10% Tyga. And maybe they should change the name of the song to California Girl, I'd rather see them bite the name from the Beach Boys instead of one of 2pac's greatest songs of all time.

Surprisingly...I am with you guys on this one. I am also with Rico for the first time! I HOPE that this experimental stuff doesn't make the album as well. I'm not gonna lie; I think this is decent for Wayne, but FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from his normal good pieces of art.
