With never-ending anticipation for Carter III bubbling like a pot of your grandmother’s chicken noodle soup, Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money camp has, over the last couple of weeks, leaked a plethora of material that they know will not make the album’s final cut. Among those throwaways (the tracks, not the guns) is the T-Pain collaboration, Got Money. While it is extremely hard to believe that a meeting of these two musically-inclined minds won’t be placed on C3, selected feature guests obviously won’t play a role in what will be the most highly-scrutinized hip-hop album of all time. To date, Carter III is set for release off Cash Money/Universal Motown on June 10.
I'm glad this ain't is not making the album. The production is not too good. I mean, it doesn't suck, but it's really generic (sort of how I felt about Bow Wow's new song "Pole in my Basement".) Wayne's lyrics on here is wack and then this is actually stupider than Lollipop and it would've never did the numbers that "Lollipop" is doing right now. They are smart to toss this to the water. Let's hope it's nothing like this track on The Carter III.
Still can't believe they pushed the album back again... it's hardly ever that someone outdoes Lil Wayne on one of his OWN songs, HARD to say it but i actually think T-Pain outdid Weezy on this one.. Weezy's kills it!! but T-Pain flows just right with this beat.
It's probably a good idea to not put this on the album, but this song is still hot! I just dont think Weezy should overuse the voicebox on his cd. But this would probably be a hit. The voicebox is going nowhere for a long time, so whoever doesn't like it better get used to it or start bumping old stuff. This song is still a banger in my opinion!
I must be one of the few who really isn't that excited for the C3 to be released. Kept getting pushed back cause he was too busy trying to hop up onto other people's songs all year long. I used to be a Wayne rider, but that's changed over the last 6 months. Dood got out rapped by Cory Gunz on A Milli, so to each his own, but Wayne need to go on a drug diet. Cut your portions in half!
It aint bad, but it also aint good either. Its an overall OKAY song. Im not gonna elaborate too much on this tack, its just okay. And nah it aint gonna be on Tha Carter III.
Yea this is decent. We all know Wayne is capable of a lot more than this. I'm glad this won't be on C3. I want to see Wayne release a song where he comes hard as hell like he used to on C1 and C2. Some shit like B M J.R., Miss My Dogs, Money On My Mind, or Best Rapper Alive. Thats what made him great. All this pop-ish kinda stuff is cool when your trying to make a buzz for an upcoming album but C3 does not need any more buzz at this point.
dis iz hot, i just wish he would quit with the voicebox already, i aint hating on him for it but i think it only sounds good on R&B artists. but this song iz nice, T-Pain's hook is nasty!
This is the curse of being that damn good: it’s not that this song aint hot, but coming from these 2, it should be on repeat since I downloaded it from zshare yesterday, and it’s been NOT! Yeah Weezy, you’re doomed man: give us a HIT, or just don’t. I know it’s f*cked up… :p That’s how harsh we’re being on my favourite rapper Weezy F. Baby, but who labelled him(self) “best rapper alive” in the first place?! Guess you shouldn’t repeat that so many times Weezy (even if you are), it makes people get over demanding.
This song is lame...I'm sorry FredRico, you like Lil' Wayne but to me his voice is terrible! Even if this song was good, to me it never will, being rapped by this 2 dudes! I don't like Wayne and I like T-Pain even less...tired of his voicebox! What's more, I could never like a dude who defines himself "the best rapper alive"! Who do you think you are? Let your audience give an opinion.

What I mean is, Weezy can be the “best rapper alive” (meaning he’s one of the top 10) when he wants to. I used to dislike his voice either, so I feel what you’re sayin, but The Carters and Like Father Like son (listen to Stuntin like my daddy, rock version) completely changed my perspective. So I avidly suggest you to listen those albums. ;)

this song is okay its only good because T-pain adds his flava to this joint and wayne is horrbile on this track and this just reminds me of the BLOCK IS HOT dayz anybody remember that remember how his rhymes used to be the worest and how u used to fast forward his songs on the Hot Boyz Tapes well idk bout u but i do it seems to me that Lil Wayne might be losing it because his last couple jawns been corny
i expected more from these two...they wuz all over tha airwaves and internet last year bein featured in songs....then when they finally make a joint together....its nothin like it could be......kinda dissapointed...but its in rotation...~
you could have put Stacks On Deck or Showtime on, this track could have been better if they worked on it a bit more not hating but i think weezy trys to do heaps of songs at one time imagine if he worked on a song for two weeks, would be fire

I actually like Lil Wayne with the T-Pain voice box; but this track has pretty weak production and it makes both T-Pain and Lil Wayne's flow less than their best. I have to agree with FredRico...If you listen to the Carter 2 album and you still don't like Lil Wayne; then something is wrong with your taste in Hip-Hop, or you just need to find another genre of music because that is the future! This is an average lil wayne track overall...
with each of these "throw-away" tracks i'm caring less and less bout C3. I've listend to C2 several times and i still don't see what's so great about it. there are plently of other rappers out there w/better flow, better lyrics, better production.

I'd have to listen again before I decide to rate as "ok" or "in rotation" but my first impression was unimpressed. I only listened to it once, I probably will again today. I agree, the stakes are sky-high on lil wayne. If he slips up in delivery just a tad he will get hammered. Only the best will do on the Carter 3.
This song on someone else's album would be a great addition. I'm having extremely high standards for Tha Carter III, tho. It's a catchy song tho. If it were to be on the album, it better be like the worst song on the album lol! I'm hopin for classic status for Tha Carter III, so I hope Weezy picks the tracks carefully.

tjis was i really good song and it was made by my 2 FAVORITE singers of forever and i really liked this song. ecspecially at the end where lil wayne starts to have fun with it and i love when he does that and that make the song so much better!

T-Pain is starting to get as annoying as Flo Rida...this song just doesn't work in my books...Lil Wayne is falling off the map and its good that this won't be on the album..every track on Carter 3 better be as good or better than Lollipop for him to live up to expectations...after 2 plus years of waiting he better deliver greatness
