When DJBooth was originally sent the Lil’ Wayne and T-Pain collaboration, Got Money, we were informed that the record would not be placed on Wayne’s impending Carter III release. Since that feature went live, however, Wayne’s camp evidently changed their minds and the Play-N-Skillz track will, in fact, be on the album. Now, only days away from the biggest thing to hit the mainstream since sliced bread, Wayne has leaked a remix to Got Money, which features the rapping talents of… Mack Maine? Yup, signed to Young Money Entertainment (unlike the departed Curren$y), Maine hops on the record for the final 16 bars, highlighting his skills as two flights below his boss. Hold your breath, because by the time this one gets played out, C3 will finally be available.
Note: The streaming of “Got Money (Remix)” has temporarily been suspended.

Not at all. This is wack Weezy. I'm sorry. No. (Beat sorta bangs, but so what) Weezy used to be better in the past. This is the last straw. I say the same thing to Wayne that he told mixtape DJs last week.
YEA HES GETTIN WEAK HE WAS BETTER WHEN THEY WERE WRITTEN THE LYRICS FOR HIM I WAS TALKIN ABOUT THESE TO DUDE THEY JUS NEED TO LAY LOW FOR A MINUTE OR TWO DAMN
It's ok. Just okay. It's not different enough. I mean I'm a fan of the original. That one still isn't played out in my opinion. But this doesn't really do anything for me.
Its hot...people wanna hear it and people wanna bump too it, you can hate on weezy all you want, even those this dude potentially lost alot more sales than expected, still gettin his papperrrrrrr..
Wanna here sumthing new and hot....trust me
www.myspace.com/oncue
...So mack maine is on this and I'm soposta think its hot? this is the weekest track on the album. I didn't like the first version, I don't like this one either.
I think DIS version is betta but they only added a verse so....but it's still Lil Wayne and he never lets Me down- i actaul-e LUV him using the voicebox! I will alwayz bump to DIS!
Yeah, Currecny left a while ago from Lil Wayne's camp and I'm so glad he did. His rap skills are doper than we all knew [Check out "Feelin It" on here]. He doesn't belong on Young Money. I think Wanye was holding him back to make that trash and he is more skilled than that.
This aint LiL Wayne. I dont know who this is. I used to bang Carta 1 and 2 and still do, but this dude has thrown his career down the drain. I used to think he was insane lyrically, and he still has the potential, but he just aint the same. This sh*it hurts to listen to.
This one gets annoying once they both start singing together on the hook ,the last verse was decent i thought there was too much voice-box on this track .If Wayne would of spit normal mic verse's on this it may of been better .
YEA i give the song originally probably a 3*, but does mack maine make it any better? i dont think so....i might be wrong but its just recycled stuff, original was just fine no need to add an OK rapper on it...so in my opinion this is no where near my rotation...
Wow, what a disappointing remix. I mean seriously, what a crappy remix. This is the best Lil' Wayne could come up with? Getting shine time for his boy, Mack Maine? Well when you have the opportunity, you usually cease it, Mack sure didn't do that and that isn't a good look. Anyway its pretty much just like the original, just with Mack spitting "1000, woooosh, 2000 woooosh, I'm Mack Maine on these h**s". I'm grading this on the remix itself, so basically Mack's verse, bad remix.
1/5 ... This song sucks ... this remix sucks ... Wayne's The Carter three didnt live up to the hype at all ... only good songs are 3 Peat, Nothin on Me, Shoot me Down, and of course lollipop ... Weezy kind of sold out with all the mainstream production from Kanye...
Mainstream production from Kanye? Shut up dude. I'm sure Weezy's Carter 3 was wack trash, but shut up about some mainstream produciton. You know nothing about Kanye's production. He's an all around, all purpose producer. You want to know a mainstream producer: Nitti, DJ UNK, Polow the Don, them is mainstream producers. A'ight. Cool.
mk18769 don't blame Kanye, Weezy is just not doing it with this song or the C3. He needs to take sometime off, go sit and think why he released this CD like this, and then go back to the drawing board and give us some bangers like C1 & C2. This is the lowest I have every voted on a Wayne song, but he only gets a 1 out of 5 for me~(**)~
I agree Mh kanye is more than mainstream he's the best in the business. If you don't like at least 3 kanye beats then you're deaf. I ain't a D**k ryda but I give respect when respect is due and kanye and weezy have BOTH earned their share. not only that but You forgot some good tracks from Carter 3 homie. What about Playin with fire, Mr. Carter,Tie my Hands which is THE best song on the album, misunderstood which I know he gon turn heads with, I like that Dr. Carter too that song had a cool concept, oh and Comfortable with Babyface, I like that joint even though it was leaked. Weezys album is a 4 star album from BDF.
So most of yall havent heard the original version (first 2 ppl talkin about waynes gettin weak his verses are the same.....) anyways liked the orginal and mack maine is stright on his verse
The songs cool for a club or a pool party but its not Weezy. Tha Carter III is hott except for the original of this and lollipop but i guess he was tryna please everyone. Mr. Carter is classic material, Dr. Carter had a great concept and wayne rode it like only wayne could. Playing with Fire is hott, "He could see the devil, see the devil in my features" In fact a lot of the songs were good.
I hard this track a long time ago and it was just a rotation type track. In the club, I think it would BANG, but I honestly skip this song every time I play the Carter 3. There are much better songs on the Album than this. T-Pain sounds decent on here and Lil Wayne is just decent on here too...
WAYNE WILL NEVER BE THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE UNTIL HE DROPS A CLASSIC ALBUM. HE HAS POTENTIAL, BUT TOO MANY PEOPLE WAS RIDING HIS JOCK.
STEP YOUR GAME UP WAYNE. HOW ABOUT WRITING A REAL SONG OR TWO, OR THREE.
"I'm a great Dane, I wear eight chains" Nigga what???? LMAO
TRY HARDER
The original Got Money was better than this and it wasn't even that great. T-Pain will help the original get some air time as a single, probably anyway. This song is just more proof that Wayne is fallin off. As a fan of rap and hip-hop, Lollipop was trash lyrically, and Milli is a boring/annoying song, and Got Money may get some air time but it's not a great song. The fact is that C3 isn't even going to be a memorable CD in rap history because no songs on it are even decent and the hottest one was Lollipop, and like I said, it was trash. Call me a hater all you want, but I like Weezy, just not any of this ish he is putting out now.
yeah it's not that bad considering it's exactly the same song with few extra lyrics mack maine sucks at rapping wayne should have never done this remix if this is how it was going to turn out.
Tha Carter III comes out today? June 10th isn't for three more days. It looks like it's going to take a lot more then a leak or anything that will stop the sales. Remix is pointless, imo.
yea i guess its aight he just need tah sitt dwn a minute an think an cum up wit a real banger cause he is kynda just fadin out an thas weird cause weezy weez is a lunitic...he need tah stop mumblin an singin an just be wayne cause this aint workin out foe em
This song is weak. Wayne needs to go back to his old stuff. I don't know how yall feel, but when i hear this song, i can't believe that its the same wayne that made P*ssy, money, weed. I give it a two because of T-Pain. Other then that its barely a one.
yall need to quit hating on lil wayne because he is still the best rapper alive right now. This song is dope but i like original better. Where can you see lil wayne's album on this website?
they replaced the only verse of waynes I liked with mack maine..... aka they made it worse, and really only reason i liked it before was that 3rd verse "umbrella, ella, ellla, eh eh eh eh eh" "cause bitch im da bomb like.. tick.... tock"
Weezy's hotter than ever right now, but his biggest fans are the 16 year old white girls. No doubt Carter III will be fire, but would have to agree with everyone else and say bring back the old Weezy!!
yeah i agree since wayne is coming in the scene with an album he is being to get weak and played out he was better when he was doing mixtapes and stuff
