Only Lil’ Wayne is cheeky enough to make a song that subversively twists the stereotypical rapper-cop relationship. Unlike NWA, when Weezy says “f**k the police”, he does so in a seductive way. Mrs. Officer, the next single from The Carter III, is all about his more pleasurable brushes wit the law. Fellow New Orleansanite (and longtime studio engineer) Deezle contributes an appropriately intimate beat, setting the perfect backdrop for Wayne’s sweet nothings and Bobby V’s crooning. While the immediately irritating weee-ooo-wee-ooo-weee mock-siren hook may have you scratching your head as to why this would ever be selected as the next single, it is otherwise a pleasant tune. But please, for your own sake, don’t try to imitate Wayne and place a booty call to 911.

It shouldnt come to anyones surprise that this ended up being chosen as a single. Not a very strong track compared to rest of the album, but its without a doubt the most radio friendly track off C3 and it will be a huge hit to say the least, meaning aka it will get old quicker than Lollipop. However, Wayne does a great job with his lyrical storyline throughout the song, and the chorus is pretty catchy and fun from Bobby V. Only negative part is the 30
second verse from that unknown rapper whos not even mentioned on the albums credits? Anyway, 3/5Strong track. |

I've been heard this on the Carter 3. This is one of the best tracks on the album, if not the best! Deezle's production is awesome and Bobby V held it down! 5 stars. Instant classic. If there was more songs like this on the album, maybe the entire composition would've been a classic.

This is another song on the album that was cool but should not be used as a single. i like shoot me down, tie my hands, playing with fire Dr. Carter and comfortble. Other than that the songs don't really grasp me. I do like the concept of the track though. Extreemly creative concept. F the police... no really have sex with a police officer. Genious!

Kidd Kidd is the guy who does that 30 second verse. This one of the 3 bonus tracks how is a single. 3 peat and Mr. carter are way better than this. but this is still a banger. Bobby Valentino sounds kinda weird tho. wee o wee whats that?

I actually found this to be one of the better tracks on CarterIII. It's pretty original content and has a really smooth feel to it. And as someone mentioned above, this has the most mainstream radio appeal. Don't be surprised if you're serenaded by this track on the radio in the upcoming months.

Definitely not a Soulja Boy fan FormerOiler22. Just in my book, Wayne doesn't make all classic tracks. But he makes some. If he had to a greatest hits, I'd say this would make the cut along with joints like Fly In and Hustler Musik.

About time they featured a song from Carter 3. This song is dope because of the siren and Lil' Wayne is always creative with his lyrics. One of the best songs on carter 3

Shoot Me Down is definitely the best song on the album besides Mr. Carter, but this song is up there in top 5 songs from the album.

Damn after listening to C3, I was really disappointed. Wanye didn't live up to his own hype, I mean Lollipop was complete trash lyrically but it still had radio succss. Of course it is Weezy so everyone is gonna be all over anything he releases as a single. This is okay, but more than anything it shows the weakness of C3, the fact that he has nothing better to put out for the radio. But the beat on this song is nothing, the hook is pretty wack, and the lyrics are typical for Wanye. Average track at best.

This song has all the makings of a radio hit. Wayne knows it, his labels know it, and if you've listened to the radio, you should know that too. Sidebar: Please don't be mad at us for featuring this song. We DON'T decide what singles to choose from the album, we just feature 'em. Haha.

this track is sick. from a radio standpoint its the second best song on the album next to lollipop. from an overall standpoint this is probably the 6th or 7th best song on the album. i dont agree with most people when they say comfortable would have been the better choice. cuz i dont think it would have. its a merely average track with not much originality. this is a very original song. lil waynes verses are great and his lyrics r on point. bobby valentino does an excellent chorus and his sound effects give the song that extra spark. he ends the song with a great verse too. i just dont think it was one of the best songs on C3.

The beat and the music are good, Bobby sings good, but I can't stand it when he says uiuiuiuiui! That's soooo annoying! it's ok. In the first minute I had thought to rate this 1 star, but then the song grew on me...pity for that uiuiuiui, it's absolutely terrible to my ears

Its a decent track, but its not one of the best on the album. It has all the makings of a radio hit and that is exactly why the label, Wayne and everybody selected it. People will love this because it is the perfect radio sound, but its just decent in my terms. It has some catchy lines by wayne, but Bobby V only drops a mediocre performance, including the annoying yet catchy hook that will be hated or loved. Decent cut, but there are much stronger cuts on the album.

One of the worst songs on a sub-par album. Easily Wayne's worst albu to date. I still have CI and CII in rotation, but this album stayed in for about 1 to 2 weeks and was out right away. WEAK! and dont call me a Weezy hater, cuz I am far from it. I have followed him since Hot Boyz. I will still tell you he is one of the metaphorical genius' of the game, but that doesnt mean I will give him a pass. He definitely disappointed, except for 3Peat, Millie, Let The Beat Build, and Tie My Hands. Anyway this song is OK. Definitely not in rotation. I cant call any Weezy song total garbage tho.

It's an ok song, immediately one that i liked, as far as the part of me that likes a radio joint (admit it you all like the addictive radio songs) but defly not a song I put on repeat too many times (that's half of the album)
