Hoping to bounce back from the disappointing sales of Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live (as in, less than halfway to gold), Lil’ Scrappy has dropped the first sneak peek off his as-yet untitled third album. On Hustle Man, Scrappy sets aside his usual energetic rhymes for straight-up raw hustle talk, which if you ask me, sounds out of place. Guest MC Paul Wall spits a typical Paul Wall verse (money, chicks, ice) albeit somewhat more explicit and Lil’ Jon‘s production sounds disappointingly darker than usual; proving once again, when trying too hard to go hard, disaster usually follows.
its iight nothing special. coulda came a lot harder. shoulda had somebody like jeezy Ross or bun B on the track instead of paul wall. they would rip that track.
this sounds like a typical boring three 6 mafia beat. but it aint, and paul wall did aight, an addage of Bun B to this song would be great. the hook is original, nothing new, and its a boring song. would prlly sound good riding slow around in the car tho.
