In mid-December, DJBooth was sent a new song from Lil’ Mama called Shawty Get Loose, which was featured on DJ Smallz‘ Smokin’ R&B Volume 8. A little over a month later, the song has been chosen as the third official single from the forthcoming The Voice of the Young People, but with a little re-mastering done. While Mama’s verses are kept intact, Teddy Pain adds a rap verse in the middle and current tour partner, Chris Brown, aids on the hook. In essence, Lil’ Mama doesn’t need her lip gloss to pop; she needs the Kiss Kiss duo. The Voice of the Young People will be heard sometime later this year, when exactly Jive has not disclosed.
Everyone kills on this track, but with that beat, it won't get played. I like it, but im not sure if the clubs will. They'll play it at first cause of Teddy and Chris
the beat sucks. thats whats holding the song back. the people on the tracks. the beat is just of weak quality. but the pople on the track sdo their part. chris brown carries the track big improvement from the original chorus wise.

This song has the potential to recuse Lil' Mama's long-delayed album, probably not so much if it was simply a Lil' Mama solo track. I think it's clever how T-Pain and Chris decided to reverse the voice box again. This is get radio play, but I don't think it will live up to "Lip Gloss."
I aktully love Lil Mama i rekon shez got REEAAL talent and just a natural flow to her rhymes.. the beat on this is a lil weak dow and really degrades the song as a whole 4me but Chris and T-Pain alwayz hav2 count for somthin so ima give da gurl 3stars but itz gettin real close to 4

This aint what Im into but this joint aint bad for the audience they are targeting....even though shes not in the same lane as other female emcees on the real she flow better than some of the older female rappers out(not talking about the message just talking about her delivery)....Lets see if she will have longevity...
This track isn't that bad at all. I like the production by T-Pain and the energy that the whole track has. This will really blow up in the club. Chris Brown also does his thing on the chorus. I don't think the beat sucks at all...This will be on the radio killing it!
Lil Mama is an artist who caters to a specific crowd. If you love Styles P, you probably won't be buying her album. Regardless of personal preference, this will be a hit at radio. Anyone disagree?

T-Pain comes hard on his rap verse and Chris Brown aces the chorus. Much better then the original. I like Pain/Brown reverses like "Kiss Kiss". They should do more tracks like this. In fact, even if they post use it, it's a pretty good outcome.
i think Chris Brown did his thang, only his part was hot. I never have, and will never be a fan of lil mama(or lil kim). T-Pain needs to stick with choruses
I don't know what y'all talking about. I didn't even hear the original, but I ran across the video for this version, and this is mad ill. Beat is perfrection...it's different than the simple 123 beats that have been coming out. I think this will be mad successful...especially for the eclectic feel of the vid at well. Chris Brown and Teddy P. was a smart addition on Lil Mama's part.
