Although Lil’ Keke‘s new single I’m A G (from the forthcoming Loved By Few, Hated By Many) has been featured on his Myspace since last May, the song hadn’t gained much buzz until just recently. With the original version used on mixtapes and sampled into instrumentals, a remix was definitely inevitable. In this case, it is a vast improvement over the original as the SUC alumna spits two new verses over Mr. Lee‘s original beat (giving Texas’ now-obligatory “RIP Pimp C” shout out), and Scarface replaces Birdman as the guest feature. Some will say this remix should have been the original version; a primary indicator is whether it will get the oft-delayed Loved By Few on store shelves.
This is something I would expect to hear coming out of Swishahouse. Straight hood banger. It's nice to see Scarface getting back into the game and collaborating with new artists.
Hailing from Chicago, as most of you know, I find it very hard to truly appreciate chopped/screwed Hip-Hop. I must say though, this is very good. Lil' Keke been doing this for a while...
Scarface really rips this...he been doing this at a very high level for a really long time. The beat is real street gutta $hit. I like lil keke rappin on this too. Good job and it can get banger status from me...
WTF u mean "Texas obligatory RIP Pimp C shoutout". Get outta here with that bullsh!t. U downplaying the situation and truthfully, being very disrepectful with ur smirk, smart-talking review. U f@cks making my blood pressure rise with that true outsider sh!t. And Y yall dudes worrying about Keke's looks, yall on some homo sh!t, stop talking bout Keke's lips, yall comin off very "mas puto"!!! We aint talking bout Ke's looks , we talking bout the song. Face ripped it, and I'm very glad they took Birdman's non-rapping ass off of this track. It's still not better that the REMIX with Chalie Boy, but still better than the original. Mr. Lee laid a serious monster of a beat.
DJ enCore: The word "obligatory" is defined as "commonplace." What is disrespectful about using the word "commonplace"? Since his unfortunate passing, all of the songs we have featured from Texas artists have had a RIP PIMP C mention. That makes each mention... "commonplace." Please don't be offended, we clearly are PRO-Pimp C and still mourn the loss of the very-talented MC.
song rocks. and z, i think encore didn't know what you meant by obligated. i guess he thought you meant people are just say rest in peace just to cover themselves when you, me and encore know that's not the case, but i understand what you was meant in the above. and encore, that was funny as shit yet true (as far as talking about the nigga mouth and birdman). lol
That's what you call ranting!
