Update: The Verluxe-directed visuals for Lil Herb’s Fight or Flight (Remix) single have been added.

Quick: name the two local rappers you’d most like to have guest on your latest record, if you were an up-and-coming Chicago emcee. Not counting Kanye (F**k, he’s probably in Paris right now.), I’d be surprised if Chance the Rapper and Common didn’t come out on top in an informal poll. Well, Lil Herb is a lucky man, because that’s exactly who he’s managed to enlist for the official remix of mixtape single Fight or Flight. After Herb’s struggle-themed opener, Lonnie Rashad Lynn, Jr. jumps on Brian “All Day” Miller‘s soul-sampled beat to revisit some of the themes of his recent Nobody’s Smiling LP, and Chance looks back on his childhood in a vivid third verse. Fans can find the original version of Fight or Flight and much more on Herb’s Fazoland street album, out now online.
