Underground legend Pimp C unexpectedly passed away yesterday, December 4th, of unknown causes. The entire Hip Hop community will mourn this great loss, as his music was influential to so many underground and mainstream artists. Impacted by his sudden passing, fellow Texan Lil’ Flip eulogizes his fallen brother on Pimp C Tribute. Clover G’s artist D-Red makes a connection with the UGK classic One Day You’re Here, The Next You’re Gone on his verse, but Essay Potna‘s blues-sounding beat (sampling Neil Young‘s One Of These Days) is what helps set the mood for listeners and fans to pay their respects. RIP Chad Butler (December 29, 1973 – December 4, 2007).

Pimp C was an ambassador not only for Southern hip-hop, but for the entire hip-hop culture worldwide. It's still a complete shock knowing that he's gone. RIP, may your spirit live on through your unforgettable music.
how did Flip come out with this song a day after his death? pretty crazy, but as much as Pimp C wasn't a favourite of mine, neither was Sean Taylor, but Imma still show respect and realize a lot of people followed them, so I will say RIP and give condolences to his fam, as well as the legend Bun B...I wonder what he is gonna do now? hopefully blow up more than ever! Flip did good on this.
I don't like Lil-Flip one bit, but this is a tribute and I feel him on this one, and it is good to see that he made this track like hours after the news traveled. This is a Classic so we can remember Pimp C! RIP!
i'll be wearing my Rap-A-Lot records cap. I saw an interview late 2006 where he sressed that rappers need to unionized to enable them to stop being used by record companies
R>I>P man
If anything could be said about this month, it just been very depressing... from sean taylor, to mannie fresh's fiancée, to chad butler. Hearing that pimp had passed ruined my whole mood for a while to come.
