L.E.P. Bogus Boys - Benjamin Franklin
Artist: L.E.P. Bogus Boys
Producer: Jahlil Beats
Album: Don't Feed The Killaz Vol. 4.
Label: Blueprint/Interscope
While Benjamin Franklin is most noted as being one of the Founding Father’s of the United States and the welcoming face on the one hundred-dollar bill we can now add hip-hop inspiration to Franklin’s ever-growling list of accolades. Chicago duo L.E.P. Bogus Boys pay ode to the Founding Father (and well, “the bad b*tches”) with a finalized version of their latest street single, Benjamin Franklin. Led by Jahil Beats’ mischievous, kick drum heavy production Count and Moonie swap verses about dropping Franklin’s at the club, the car dealership, and anywhere else their money is welcome. Although the braggadocio is heavy on Benjamin Franklin, the duo’s nifty lyricism keeps the song enjoyable. Benjamin Franklin will be featured on L.E.P. Bogus Boys’ forthcoming mixtape, Don’t Feed The Killaz Vol. 4.

L.E.P is very hit or miss with me. One second they sound like the second coming of the Mobb Deep good 'ol days and the next they are trying to fit into the street hustler sound of 2012 that has already been played out. This is the former.

This was a pretty good track. I like the flows of LEP Bogus Boys better than I'm feelin the beat, but it still works.
