About fourteen months ago, the Booth premiered then-brand new Jive signee Lee Carr‘s debut single attempt, Never Let U Go. Despite ultra-positive reviews for that record and his other four Booth features, the NYC native is still no closer to a solid release date for his self-titled album—that’s likely the reason he and his Third Lane Music Group are currently trying to negotiate a release from their contract with Jive (as are quite a few others). Hoping to have a new label lined up as quickly as possible, this new single finds Lee heading out to the bar; when he spots a shorty sipping on Patron, he introduces himself and suggests they make some Rhythm & Nuvo together. Swagg Team head honcho Yung Joc jumps on board to spit a super-slick guest verse, helping to make Patron into a bona fide bar anthem. Two primary questions remain, though: one, will any new labels be attracted to it, and, two, if it’s a hit, will Jive be willing to let him go?

Not too bad, average track from mid-level artists. I like Joc on these R&B tracks lately though, good look. Lee Carr has had some noise in the booth lately, I’m starting to get more into his music. Not too shabby.

Joc always brings it on these R&B tracks, he should just stick to these guest features. Lee Carr was decent, ive heard better from him though

Mr. Carr has a voice, there is no denying that. He is also a very personable and likable artist who WILL succeed in the bizz down the line. With that said, I am so sick of any and all liquor-themed joints. Do you know who buys music? Underage girls. This does not appeal to them directly. Indirectly? Sure.... but there in lies the problem.

Another over used concept. I will never drink patron cause of it, and the fact that I @et han@overs off that @*#$!. I prefer 151! =) Mix it wit cola and call it Devil's Piss. Either way unlike the drink this son@ is @ood. Most son@s called patron are smooth tracks that I've liked to be honest. Both Sean @arrett and Jonta Austin's versions were dope and this one is just as @ood. Maybe people should make more odes to the Tequila. Hell maybe all R & B son@s should be named patrol. F it just chan@e the entire @enre to Patron!

I like Lee Carr. That joint he had 'Breathe' was off the hook!! However, this is a step back....im really sick of the im so fly, shawty wassup, sippin on patron songs.....its got to the point where is just mediocre. Having said that, this song is okay....Lee brings the heat on this joint,,,the beat is okay....its just the lyrics that are just so predictable and really drag the song down.....joc was meh. 3 Stars

This dude has a nice voice and Joc was a good addition. I completely agree on the over-used topic, though.

He has a good voice and I like the production on this song. it is simple, nothing new, but still enjoyable! It lacks something to be a banger, but I'll listen to this again

I really liked listenin to Carr's vocals. He has a real smooth voice, he just needs a melody thats a lil more catchy to make a hit. Joc was solid but not great on his guest verse. The production was average, so it gets a 2.5 from me. It just didn't have that somethin to push it over the top.

The production is smooth and I like Lee Carr's vocals on this. Yung Joc is an average rapper but he improves these R&B songs in my mind. In rotation

I think this is just a song to get himself some spins in the club. Where did the vocal range he had with "If I Were Boy" remix go?

Joc always kills it on these tracks and I'm likeing Lee Carr's sound, very smooth and doesn't sound quite like other singers out there.
