Following the semi-success of Lee Carr’s summer single, Stilettos, several ‘outside’ remixes have popped up on the Net. Luckily for our readers, one in particular arrived in our inbox. Emcees and fellow New Yorkers Cardan and Bathgate have added chic verses about flashiness and the look of a shorty wearing designer heels to this already catchy record. Replacing the original production work of L.O.S. Da Maestro are DJ Suss One and JButtah, who create an up-tempo, old-school beat that samples the classic, Eric B. Is President. One thing is for certain: if wearing stilettos is this enjoyable, plenty of women’s sneaker lines will soon be on the road to bankruptcy. Carr is set to drop his Jive debut, In The Third Lane, later this year.
Lee Carr has been doin veryy bad. Hate his voice. is terrible. they gon get somethin loww im not felin this. lol jk its an alright song there are many singers that sound just like this dosnt stand out
I didn't even know Bathgate was still in the game. Yea, he's still biting Jay but I'm still shocked that he's alive. This is alright. This song isn't special at all.
lol @ the comment above about bathgate, i didnt kno he was still rappin either, this @*#$! is kinda on the borderline of being wack and ok, kinda sound like the dream wrote this ugh......
The original actually sounded pretty decent and had a good feel to it. I'm afraid this remix makes it quite the mess and completely threw off the flow of the track.
The original edit is in a cd mix I made some months ago...I forgot to write down the titles and when I put on the cd some days ago I didn't remember what song this was...so I had to look for it on djbooth, thousand pages of songs! It has been quite an hard search lol! Poor Stiletto, finally found! The original was good but very repetitive, I like this better but it's not a banger...a decent song which won't catch in my opinion! Will be forgotten soon
The original was CLEARLY a female-driven song, so its nice to a hear a remix that appeals slightly to male listeners. The old-school throwback beat is solid, big ups on the production fellas, and the guest verses were not great, but did nothing to take away from Carr's vocals. Nice redo.
