Laws - Look Easy
Artist: Laws
Featuring: Diz Gibran
Producer: 9th Wonder
Album: 4:57PM (Overtime Ed.)
Label: Unsigned
In sports it doesn’t get much more intense than overtime (Olympics’ U.S./Canada hockey game, anyone?), and Booth favorite emcee Laws is proving the same holds true when it comes to hip-hop with the re-release of his 4:57PM mixtape, the Overtime Edition. Although as passionate as ever, the DJBooth freestyle alum makes it Look Easy on his latest offering as he coasts over light production by the ever-in demand 9th Wonder, giving the track an eminently enjoyable vibe. Along with a feature from west-coaster Diz Gibran, Laws delivers the message that he’s a force to be reckoned within the music industry: “And now you look so messed up, dog, ain’t my fault you slept too hard, it was something like a zillion-to-one when I crept up, dog, you ain’t never see me sweat those odds.” If you enjoyed this buzzer-beater, check out the tagless 4:57PM (Overtime Ed.), complete with several new cuts, and be sure to keep it locked to the Booth for our exclusive interview with Your Future Favorite Rapper, due to drop in April.

Laws needs to blow up. He puts his talent on full display on every song. Hook was only OK but still not bad. Another banger from Laws.

If hip hop was a game of roulette I would put a nice chunk of change on Laws. His work just comes off as effortless. Plus, he has some major major players in his corner. I think this is yet another example of his winning future.

The best don't just do incredible things, they make it look easy. Mission accomplished.
And honestly @DjKidd has a point. If Laws has anything he needs to improve the most, it's his hooks. Hopefully he'll get some assistance in the hook department on his debut album. |

Complete Back to the Future nerd complaint, but it should have been "88 in a Delorean", not "80 in a Delorean".
Let that be a lesson to all you rappers out there. If you're going to reference Back to the Future, I will fact check your rhymes. |

I like Laws, Not only because hes from my area but because his flow is insane, he just rides over every beat. 4:57 was a prime example. Some of hooks may not be up to par but just wait, I have a prediction, Laws ft. Colin Munroe that's a winners recipe.

i was really excited for this track but nothing great from anyone involved. my fav is diz's verse and that didnt win me over too much. laws has talent but he needs to find beats that fit his voice better and develop better hooks.
