Likely motivated by the success of British singer Estelle, Atlantic Records recently signed another across-the-pond female with a unique urban sound. From Dublin, Ireland, comes 20-year-old Laura Izibor, who has been busy for the past three years recording her debut album, Let the Truth Be Told, which has already scored inclusions on the soundtracks for Step Up 2, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Hills, among other places. Izibor’s new single, From My Heart To Yours, will surely draw comparisons to Lauryn Hill (just like Jazmine Sullivan), as it mixes her alto vocals and topical lyrics with a saxophone-heavy beat from producer Tricky Stewart. Are we sure that cloning is still illegal? Look for From My Heart to Yours to be played just about anywhere you can listen to music; Let the Truth Be Told is expected to be released in early ’09.

Yeah, there is definitely an initial comparison to Lauryn...but only slightly. Laura sort of has her own style. This joint is decent. For some reason, I wish he vocals were mixed lighter with more reverb to seem more airy vs. heavy over the beat. But this sounds like a real solid joint. I'll definitely throw it in rotation and listen for more from her.

Love her voice...she has a soulful..."You are my Sunshine!" voice...makes you just smile, kick up your legs and momentarily forget we're in a depression (arrghhhh)...REWIND!!!!

Man...There sure is alot of over-seas ladies coming in and killing the U.S circuit huh...Estelle, Duffy, Leona, Adele, etc and they all have phenomenal voices...Laura joins those ranks but to me she sounds too much like Estelle which takes away a lil bit of her originality...i do like the song alot though but id get tired of it after listening to it about 2 more times

Dublin is finally in the building!!!! She been out trying to work up some ear play for awhile, glad to see her on here. She is a very passionate singer, with truth in her music. I can't wait for the album to drop. 4 stars~(**)~

Laura just dropped in on my music radar, so her work isn't exactly etched into my brain. With that said, this record certainly changes things.
I have high expectations for Ms. Izibor... don't let me down now!

She can sing, nice voice. Y'all should check out the DJ Premier remix of this song, if y'all tired of Tricky Stewart like me.
