Laura Izibor - From My Heart To Yours (Remix)
Artist: Laura Izibor
Producer: JayDee and Christian Almiron (w/ Michael "Lofey" Sandlofer)
Album: Let The Turth Be Told
Label: Atlantic Records
Atlantic Records is starting to follow a pattern: take the smooth lead single off an artist’s latest LP, and create an up-tempo, club-ready official remix. Though that approach didn’t work too well for Pleasure P‘s Boyfriend #2 (the Flo Rida-featuring remix got significantly lower Booth ratings than the original), the Atlantic brass have nonetheless elected to give it another go, this time with From My Heart To Yours, the lead single off Laura Ibizor‘s recently-released debut album, Let The Truth Be Told. In this case, the label decided to stick to the classic definition of a remix; though all Laura’s vocals remain intact, and, surprisingly, no guest verses are added, Tricky Stewart‘s vintage-soul beat is replaced by a new, synth-heavy instrumental by JayDee and Christian Almiron (with co-production from Michael “Lofey ” Sandlofer). It’s not a drastic change, but this remix should hook the new-school crowd just as the original did old-schoolers (many of whom were Booth-heads) back in November ‘08.

Laura is cute.
I like this style too. It's eclectic and dope. That1Kid13, I don't think you'll have to worry about hearing this on mainstream radio. It's more of an indie style soulful vibe. Only certain people really dig it. |

The original was enjoyable, but I seem to prefer this upbeat club-ready remix. I think a few new vocal layering could have added to the powerful production swap, but regardless this works.

I saw something on a cable channel on this lady last night. Her vibe is on fire. Her voice is classy yet very strong. Soulful production, and a heavy hook makes this appealing. She sounds alot like Joss Stone.

I don't know the original song, but this one sounds good. She has a soulful voice and the beat makes me move! I'm not crazy for the melody, though.

I liked the original but this remix really showcased the producers and Laura well and I thought that they were able to marry a contemporary sound with an old school vibe. Well done looking forward to hearing more from her and her peoples, good work
